- Everything was exceptional, staff was lovely, hotel was clean.
- World-class hotel, the best I have stayed at anywhere in the world. The culture of the hotel is fantastic. The team are out of this world. The facilities are amazing. There are five restaurants, all of Michelin-star quality (and some are Michelin-starred). The associated pub is the pièce de résistance. The owner, who I had the pleasure of meeting, was wonderful.

- The staff were amazing, welcoming us like old friends We were extremely well looked after and were made to feel very special. Our little spaniel Willow loved it and had lots of attention. The food was lovely both in the evening and at breakfast and nothing was too much trouble The atmosphere was fantastic and the decor was in keeping with the character of the property, with plenty of cosy seating areas to relax in. Possibly the best place we've ever stayed!
- Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of small details, for example, the mugs in the room and the old bedside telephone, were lovely. Everything was spotlessly clean. The setting and views were beautiful.

- The food was very, very good but expensive at over £40 per person. It was a set price for two courses or three courses. Really liked the hotel and would stay again, but I would probably eat out for more choice as it was a big expense on top of the B&B cost.
- The only thing that I could fault is that the room was a little cramped.
- Plastic water bottles, made it seem a bit cheap. Would have preferred a bath as well as a shower in a junior suite. Breakfast was nice, but poached eggs on first day were like warm. Sausage felt a bit cheap, but still tasty. Could have replaced the missing coffee pods.

- Truly exceptional experience. I would give 12 as a score out of 10 if I could. The food, service, room, and overall experience were simply wonderful. The manager also moved breakfast forward to 8 am to accommodate a 9 am meeting I had. Guess what, the full English, Yorkshire breakfast was also exceptional. I will be returning and couldn't recommend this enough

- The Bed! the mattress was very thin or very old. Also the pillows were of the cheap bouncy type. Fortunately i brought my own! Shame because otherwise this is an excellent hotel.
- Found the interiors dated, needs updating and a little care. Our bathroom was tight but adequate. Hard to access our room with luggage, stairs etc. No views.
- Regrettably, our visit coincided with the hotel restaurant’s evening closure due to temporary staffing issues. Located in a small rural village, this required a short drive to find a nearby dining option.
- Shocking dirty room and bathroom . When doing check out told receptionist the room / bathroom was dirty ! Spider , curtains undone broken plug. Dirt in the bathroom,2 yellow stains on the mattress. He told he would pass on the message . No one had contacted us after 2 days . Milk left in the fridge was turned . Bins for dog poop outside the building was FULL of bags with dog poop , REAL LACK OF MAINTENANCE, we were so disappointed!! Maybe because we came with pets and we were sent to the dirty pets room ! (God knows ) but we ve paid £40 for pets. and not a bed or a bowl were Provided for them . We ve booked this hotel for the good review but it was a real disappointment. I have taken pictures of it as we were speechless .Not sure the owners of the hotel are aware of this stage of lack of maintenance

- We love going to the Coniston for a bit of luxury and relaxation. Beautiful inside and out. The spa is amazing with three saunas, one steam room and three jacuzi/infinity pools. We had excellent treatments and overstayed out time in the spa without challenge.

- The bat and restaurant staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. I had the wrong meal delivered to my table twice in the evening, then breakfast delivered twice the following morning. Normally I wouldn't call this out but the look from the waitress was like it was my fault
- We had good food, however a better selection would be good as some items were not available. The room was in need of a little tlc, with some minor damage to the woodwork but beautiful furnishings.
- only one restaurant in use so had choice of both menus but could not mix and match dishes. Both starters and mains brought out at the same time which was not acceptable to us, it felt like they were trying to finish early as it was fairly quiet.
- The bed and pillows were really uncomfortable, really hard, slept awful. The TV in the room was tiny! My partner literally couldn’t see it from the bed even with his glasses on! Such a big room and wall for such a small tv! The lunch option with the Spa and Dine package wasn’t great. We opted for the teriyaki chicken bao buns.. the chicken was really bland and didn’t taste anything like teriyaki. Was a strange option for lunch in such a Yorkshire hotel!

- Sadly the swimming pool was out of action on the day we arrived – one of the main reasons for booking this hotel – but it was fixed by the next day so we managed to have a swim 👍.
