- Outstanding bed, lovely large room and nice bathroom. Brilliant, friendly staff. Perfect location for my business needs.
- staff were very friendly. breakfast was excellent. fantastic location, very central with all attractions in the city centre easily accessible.
- room was very spacious & the bed huge & very comfortable. Bathroom large, bright & with a large shower (would have liked the choice of bath and/or shower) & great magnifying mirror. breakfast all you could ask for and some. Great central location, very easy walk to many places. Bar excellent (especially the very polite & attentive staff) – would like to have been here in warmer weather to take advantage of the outside terrace!
Negative reviews
- As we bring our dog with us and you welcome them in, it’s a shame there’s no where we can have a drink or meal with them. So we don’t get to use any other part of the hotel! Expect on the terrace in the summer..
- Breakfast was very expensive. As a business traveller, I was expecting a desk/workspace, but there was none.
- No chair near a mirror or small table to do hair & make up in good lighting.
- No hot water – this was an issue with the whole hotel. My husband checked in first and had a hot shower, but when I later tried to have a shower that evening, the water was lukewarm. Still the same in the morning, so I had reported it to reception the next morning. They informed me maintenance was looking into the issue as high priority. We only stayed for one night so it wasn’t a major issue for me but it could have been. I also think the overnight car park fee is quite expensive (£32) but this was waivered due to no access to hot water.
- Parking charge is high.

- The room felt modern, spacious and clean. The air-con worked well and the curtains made the room very dark. The location is good – opposite a Sainsburys and walkable to Victoria, the Arndale centre and trams to get around. The pool, jacuzzi and steam room were a great addition and we had a lovely time using them.
- The hotel concept was great. Loved the suites and pool access for the money. Also located central which was fab
- The hotel was beautiful and so clean. All the appiences in the room were excelent quality and worked really well. All the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was the best i've ever had in a hotel.
- Very comfortable and well equipped apartment. Lovely pool area. Great location
- The suite was spacious, nicely decorated, and the kitchenette was very convenient. The bathroom was very roomy with excellent storage, a spacious shower stall, and excellent towel drying unit. The chaise sofa was comfortable and the table was useful for remote work (for one person). A second person would not be able to share the small table. If 2 guests were working remotely, you might consider taking the one bedroom suite because it has a larger table that 2 could share. The hotel was quiet (we were on the 13th floor) and the elevators were spacious and quick. The breakfast was excellent–lots of choices, well prepared, and brought hot and fresh to the table. We appreciated that this was not just a breakfast buffet that many other hotels rely on. The location was excellent and felt safe. You will be close to awesome shopping on the high street and in the shopping mall with several high end department stores nearby. You will be spoiled for choice for restaurants, bars, and clubs–so much to do during the day and night. The parking garage across the street from the hotel is large, safe, and clean.
Negative reviews
- On my check out the receptionist on duty was chewing gum which I find very disrespectful!
- We would have liked some more equipment in the kitchen – there were only two very small saucepans, which was strange as they provide a 4-ring hob. A frying pan would have been very useful, and a bigger saucepan. Also, the bed was a little hard for us, but that is just personal preference and we still slept well!
- To be picky, there was a reception member on the Sunday morning not as accommodating as the other staff. Also in the pool changing rooms the locks on shower facilities were broke and they had t been cleaned. There was also sum around the outside of the jacuzzi in the swimming pool which could be cleaned.
- We didn't like the fact that the swimming pool area is unisex. I feel that's unsafe for females and children that use it.
- Kids being allowed in the pool area. Lots of screaming kids not being respectful. Bed and pillows not very comfy

- Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful hotel inside and out. Delicious food
- Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Very well looked after hotel
- Staff on reception were helpful and welcoming on arrival. Our room was spacious and well equipped with a large screen tv and plenty of choice in tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The room was serviced every day with friendly house keeping staff. The bathroom was a bit dated, but clean and plenty of hot water. We were on the second floor and the view looked out onto green space. We had breakfast included in the price which was buffet style and we enjoyed the choice and quality of the produce. We hadn't booked dinner on the Saturday night prior to arrival and found that the Iron Grill was fully booked, however we ate in the bar and were not disappointed.
- Great facilities, pleasent staff.
- Nice location and family friendly. Enjoyed the pool facility with family…
Negative reviews
- Bathroom could do with modernising, but not really a problem. The music at breakfast was intrusive and inescapable as it was piped all over the dining room. Perhaps more considered thought needed to choice of music, volume and varied age range of guests.
- The area we were seated in, for food in the evening was pretty cold
- That there were some long brown strands of hair on the floor in the bathroom, so cleaning was not checked properly.
- Pillows were too soft, found it difficult to get comfortable and to sleep.
- Expensive, even staying on a Sunday evening like i did.

- Location, cleanliness, staff, restaurant, facilities
- Pool and the apartments were fantastic. Breakfast was delicious every morning.
- Very good location, quite central.
- Modern, clean and good location
Negative reviews
- It’s expensive in my view for 1 night. But I think it was worth the cost as it was such a good experiment and was a treat!
- Queues for breakfast, dining chairs not comfy but nowhere else to sit as sofa bed was pre-made on arrival.
- Breakfast was shocking, we waited so long for our food and even longer for a drink. I asked for a drink and I was told I had to wait like everyone else. No one was eating or had a drink in the resterant I had to get up and demand a drink. The waitress was very rude. Its not a 5 star hotle…its just a 4. I did expect more sadly.
- Changed the TVs. Removed Sky and on demand apps
- The breakfast service was quite slow, it took a relatively long time. We are informed that we can order multiple drinks i.e. limitless on the drinks. In reality, it took long time for delivering our first drinks; we placed an order for our second drinks (two English teas, a glass of juice and a glass of milk) when having our breakfast. We finished having our breakfast and they collected the dirty dishes and cutlery promptly; after a very short time, the lead waiter asked us to leave the table, we were happy to help getting other standing customers to come in. After informing the lead waiter we are still waiting for our drinks that we ordered so he directed us to sit at a tea table near the terrace and he will make sure the drinks are coming. No second drinks appeared despite informing staff on several occasions that we are still waiting. After 45 minutes of waiting to no avail for the uncomplicated second drinks, we have to leave and check out. In summary, – The property is good and in an excellent location. – Parking is expensive. – Breakfast service is very slow. The claim of limitless drinks is a myth, no one needs to wait for more than 45 minutes for a two English teas, a glass of juice and a glass of milk. Advice, – Excellent location so it is worthwhile to book if you aim is to be near the city centre. – I wouldn't add breakfast as it is too expensive, slow service and for this price, we could have much better breakfast in Manchester City Centre.

The manageress helped me with our luggage which I thought was really thoughtful and honestly they are a credit to the team. The main restaurant was fantastic and the maitre d (unfortunately I lost his name but hes Italian) was really good and attentive to our needs a pleasant experience considering we turned up late! - Other guests were rowdy and it didn’t seem like the vibe it’s a lovely hotel but we had problems with noise arguing and fighting next door (although the hotel promptly sorted it out). There was also rude customers to the bar staff who got aggressive to them, I think on call security may have benefitted this. the spa requires a bit of updating and repairs (tiles missing in the infinity pool, steam room under maintenance,
- £5 charge for a robe at the spa when we've paid near £200 a night to stay seems ridiculous. Swimming pool was cold. In the room, the TV was wall mounted in a bizarre position making it difficult to watch comfortably.
- My only criticism is the leak we had from our shower. Every time we showered the water would leak through the silicon and cause a rather large puddle in the bathroom.
- The main pool was very cold which meant alot of people went into thermal area which resulted in overcrowding . The changing need updating, showers , lockers , communal areas .
