Positive reviews

  • The rooms are stunning and the staff is beyond accommodating.
  • Everything has been wonderful. The service, the room and facilities were top notch. The whole property was tastefully decorated and very clean, and everyone has been very helpful. Such a comfortable and indulgent stay Well done!
  • Loved the style and decor. The staff were excellent. It was very clean and centrally located. Breakfast was superb. The manager is very proactive.
  • Everything in this hotel was perfect and beyond expectations.from the time we arrived we got double upgrade to a junior suite .Mr Oliver The manager is one of a kind and the professional staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay, making our travel experience truly enjoyable.”great location ,clean rooms ,very good breakfast,.I highly recommend this Hotel in the heart of Rome.
  • We enjoyed the whole stay in the hotel. Great location, interesting design, absolutely perfect breakfast (I don’t like so much ala-carte option but was nicely surprised the variety of the menu, quality of the dishes, as well as how quick everything was served). But most of all I appreciated the professional service of the hotel team and manager Oliver. Would be glad to return!

Negative reviews

  • Bit of constant traffic noise to front.
  • Some of the room features such as the very dark walls and sub-optimally designed lighting. Also the interior courtyard of the property appeared to be part of another establishment which often played loud music.
  • As it is on a busy street, some noise is audible. As it is a converted old palace, some layouts are quirky. Some design touches are exaggerated.
  • Concierge attempted to be helpful on occasion, but fell short. No pool. No rooftop. Bar area and restaurant a bit underwhelming.
  • The people outside are disturbing me and the carpet in the corridors needs to be cleaned or renewed. I wish there were air fresheners in the corridors to freshen up the hotel.

  • Perfect place. Very at ease.
  • Very clean and lovely staff
  • Staff great…really liked our room
  • – Employees are great especially a lady in the reception – Breakfast is good – Housekeeping is supportive – The room is nice

Negative reviews

  • Hotel overlooking busy road / street
  • We were guest at the hotel for 3 days. We liked the terrace in the picture and wanted to spend our evenings there and relax. BUT NO. The hotel rents out the terrace, and we as hotel guests were DENIED access.
  • What I booked is Prestige Double Room with View, and I really expected a beautiful city view and river view. However, the road in front of our room is under construction. I think they should have informed us before we stayed or provided us some different options or compensation.
  • – The location is difficult because of the road conditions – Lobby is small

Positive reviews

  • Amazing location and the hotel design was beautiful. Also loved the central courtyard
  • Very clean, confortable bed with large pillow menu, perfect location, in the city center but very quiet. Big rooms. Good temperature in rooms, high quality toiletries and slippers
  • Cleanliness, luxury, friendly staff. Little gifts left for us every second day.
  • Our stay at Palazzo Ripetta was truly extraordinary and exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and impeccably cared for. The building itself is stunning; elegant, historic, and beautifully maintained perfectly reflecting the charm of Rome. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated, combining comfort with refined Italian style. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged to ensure a relaxing stay. The location is simply unbeatable, within easy walking distance of major attractions, yet peaceful and quiet at the same time. What truly made our experience special was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with recommendations and assistance, making us feel at home throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience in Rome and would absolutely return to Palazzo Ripetta.
  • Amazing Staff, so friendly and helpful. Location super.

Negative reviews

  • The breakfast
  • Low options at breakfast. A lot of sweets but no fresh vegetables, no prosciutto nor cheese. I had to order separately cheese, they were kind to give me, but i had to ask..
  • No restaurant
  • The hard pillows! Fortunately we requested soft ones!
  • The location of my room was very noisy at midnight i heard the street cleaners pick up the waste which woke us up several times during our sleep. Mattress was stiff. Curtain blinds do not close completely at night which allowed light into the room.

Positive reviews

  • Everything was just fine at the hotel. The place was clean, the service was good, and the staff were attentive,
  • Bfast was perfect. Service was fantastic. Everyone from the doorman to the Concierge was incredibly helpful. Incredible rooftop bar.
  • Central location, spacious suite, charming breakfast terrace
  • Staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent, and the rooms are beautifully designed. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable—the mattress was fantastic. The rooftop terrace was another highlight, and the staff up there were perfect. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Merle from customer service, John Luca from room service and Andrias from Bell Service.
  • Luxury hotel with modern details in a perfect location. Absolutely fantastic staff, they care about you since the minute you reach the hotel. Great rooftop to have a drink in the evening.

Negative reviews

  • Shower had very low pressure and not enough hot water, lighting could be better
  • I recently stayed at the property for two nights, expecting the elevated level of service and attention to detail that the brand is known for. Unfortunately, my experience fell short, particularly in terms of housekeeping. Upon arrival at 3 PM, my room was not yet ready and still needed to be cleaned—disappointing and inconvenient after a long journey, especially at a hotel positioned as luxury. The next morning, a housekeeping staff member asked when I’d be leaving so the room could be serviced. I told her I’d be out in about 30 minutes, and I placed the “Clean My Room” sign on the door when I left at 10:30 AM. When I returned at 2:30 PM, the room had still not been cleaned. For a brand that prides itself on refined hospitality and guest comfort, this lack of follow-through was surprising and not in line with what I’ve come to expect from Rocco Forte Hotels. I hope management takes this feedback into account, as such details are key to maintaining the exceptional standard associated with the Rocco Forte name.
  • Room was a bit disappointing in size.
  • For $2000 per night I would expect a much more luxurious hotel, the building and entrance and reception are so worn out it doesn’t match the price ask
  • Basic things didn't work which was surprising for an expensive five star hotel. There was no real customer service before we arrived. The AC in the room couldn't be switched off so we were freezing. The toilet couldn't flush and staff responsiveness was rather slow. There were other little things but those were the three big ones.

  • The room and the whole hotel is clean, spacious, modern, the bed is comfortable, calm surroundings, a balcony overlooking the whole city of Rome, the room service with tasty foods. The staffs were very helpful and responsive. Thanks Georgia and everyone at the front desk and room service!
  • The staff ere fantastic, great recommendation for dinner, carried our bags to our room and were 5 STAR!! A great place to say!!!
  • Great views & very friendly staff who were always willing to help 24/7.
  • The Magic suite is really magic! A spacious room, it offers great views of Rome from indoors as well as from the balcony which has comfortable seating. Complementary water, illy cafe, tea and cookies are a super treat for a tired traveller. The 24 h room service is a great option for who like me did not have a chance to get a bite for the entire day! I recommend the tuna, salad and tomato among other options on the menu. Communication with reception works with whats up or face to face – Giorgia is very nice and helpfull. All the staff as a matter of fact provide an excellent service. Great stay far from the crowd, yet at a convenient distance from the city.

Negative reviews

Positive reviews

  • Location, very beautiful hotel.
  • The heritage, staff, location
  • I had a very comfortable stay at Palazzo Talia. The property is beautiful, elegant, and very well maintained. The room was cozy, the bed was super comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is really relaxing. The location is also excellent for exploring Rome. I definitely recommend this hotel because the comfort and design are top level. However, there are a few small things that could be improved, such as I requested a breakfast in the room but never came !!! Nothing that ruined the stay, but worth mentioning. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel and I would stay here again.
  • Breakfast was amazing and cooked to order very quickly–the wait staff in the restaurant was excellent and attentive. We looked forward to our morning meal every single day! The variety of food on offer at the buffet was excellent and fresh too. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous and check in was simple and painless. Beautiful bar area/lounge and also very friendly and service-oriented staff.
  • The design and attention to detail was awesome, excellent service, the spa was small but perfectly formed (and we had it to ourselves everyday) and breakfast was delicious – would return!

Negative reviews

  • Unpredictability of room lighting system, and unavailability of English speaking TV
  • Lacked a few basics – like an iron and working hairdryer. I found some of the reception staff a little snobby
  • Spa was incredibly slippery, i suggest putting drying mats infront of the pool and sauna/hamamm
  • O café da manhã servido a la Carte não está a altura do hotel. Para viajantes em férias seria razoável servir com um bufet, as pessoas não gostam de perder tempo, esperando pelo pedido.
  • Like staying in a museum!

  • I know the property well so it hides no surprises
  • Virginia from reception is very nice and helpful 🙂
  • Comfortable, clean, friendly
  • Everything. The room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was excellent. The staff was super friendly. I felt very welcome even with my 30kg Labrador dog, she was even allowed with us at breakfast ❤️. Breakfast was excellent. Not only did they have a large variety of food, but it was of great quality as well.
  • The hotel is well located just outside Rome — close to both the city and the airport, and right on the way north to many famous Italian destinations. Very friendly and attentive staff, good breakfast, and spacious rooms — everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Negative reviews

  • ?
  • Nothing. I think the lift in the adjoining building closes the doors too quickly – my dog got "stuck" inside twice and I had visions of him being transported to an upper floor before I could reopen the door and get him back! (This didn't happen!)
  • The turnout onto Via Variante Tiberina is treacherous, with no visibility of fast oncoming traffic coming from the left on this road due to overgrown trees/bushes. Almost got into a wreck there. Trim those trees back!
  • Too noisy air condition. We needed to turn it off and sleep with open window instead.
  • We arrived at the midnight and after driving for 12 hours I would not expect running back and forth for an hour trying to prove to the manager that there is no water in the shower. Can't understand why is it hard to give clients another room and fix your problems at your own expense. First time ever we cancelled our stay, had to get out of there and spend night in another hotel.

  • Breakfast was very good. All the Staff were helpful, friendly and charming in the morning and the evening. Location is terrific with most sites within walking distance.
  • Lovely ambience, great location, staff excellent – indeed they were faultless. Happy, smiling, willing to help, warm welcome.
  • Basically everything: beautiful building and rooms, top quality amenities, impeccable service, perfect location.
  • The staff Martina, florencia, giorgiana and Rashid made our stay enjoyable because of their help and kindness
  • Outstanding selection of dishes at breakfast and excellent service!

Negative reviews

  • Stairs in suite where difficult with heavy luggage
  • Very little. The room is showing small amounts of wear and tare – the shower for example felt as though it might need looking at soon. But these are small points only.
  • Limited breakfast, no desk in the room
  • The renovation across the hotel very noisy.
  • The food in the restaurant on the roof was awful. We realize the chef was attempting a nouvelle/deconstruction cuisine, he failed miserably. It would have been delightful if there was anything edible on the menu.
