- Perfect oasis in north Sardinian hinterland. Convenient for coast and inland exploration. Well maintained and the heated pool an unexpected bonus.
- Wonderful space, very well designed for a true retreat and rest. Great experience with the restaurant’s tasting menu.
- Beautiful design and location with excellent staff and food. Relaxing atmosphere with extensive grounds to explore and beautiful views. Also worth taking advantage of the shuttle service to the sister restaurant Il Coti to experience local Sardinian food
- This is the most incredible hotel nestled in the midst of the olive groves. Everything about thus retreat is perfect. Particularly the lovely garden that was attached to our room. The hotel restaurants were fantastic and the free shuttle made a big difference. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. We loved it.
- Amazing and beautiful property and facilities. All the staff were extremely nice and helpful (shoutout to Giulia, Katerina and Michela for the incredible service). Highly recommend if you’re looking for a restorative luxury stay near Porto Cervo
Negative reviews
- For the rates charged per night, in my opinion, it is unacceptable to hear the entire daily life of the neighbors in the next room. Poor sound insulation.
- If you want to explore wider you need a car as taxis are extremely expensive (€60 for 5km journey)
- They could heat the large pool
- I couldn't say I didn't like something. Perhaps the fact that they don't let you iron your clothes in the room and you have to give them to them in advance and this is sometimes not possible.
- It was impossible to find. There is not one sign directing you to the property and TomTom listed a place five miles away. Even the marker at the entrance is not obvious (we drove past it three times). The need to have music playing all the time wasn’t restful for us, particularly day one when we were the only people sitting around the pool having to listen to something weird with an annoying beat. We asked for it to be turned down as close to off but not much happened. We left for our room.It was more reminiscent of a Spanish beach bar than a place to relax and read. We didn’t understand the eco bit at all and only realised it’s importance from the questionnaire we were asked to fill in. We weren’t able to as we didn’t understand them. We thought the nearly £1000 per night didn’t reflect value or satisfaction compared with the other stays during the trip.

- Great authentic staff, amazing service. A cultural icon, a living piece of history, hotels like these need to be preserved at all cost. It was a privelage to be able to stay here.
- Fantastic hotel with brilliant staff
- The indoor pool at sunset is stellar. The suite had a wonderful view.
- Fabulous location and friendly helpful staff
- Unbelievable location. Best spot in Alghero! Truly an amazing experience to swim amongst the hotels rock pools. Loved everything about this property. Special thanks to the staff who made our Anniversary an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended ! We will be back.
Negative reviews
- Nothing!
- All the furniture is morally outdated. It is quite lean, there are no amenities. The bathroom needed a major renovation. The shower cabin is very small and uncomfortable and definitely does not suit this wonderful hotel. There is no coffee machine in the room, which is unthinkable for a five-star hotel. The cable of the hot water kettle is short and does not reach the socket. It is elementary, it can be easily fixed.
- The room was super cold, couldn’t adjust the heat. The staff didn’t seem to speak English very well. (Except for the front desk) super small restaurant menu.
- Internet wasn’t working
- Didn’t like having to leave

- Location, cleanness
- Location, water and harbor view from the suite, a professional reception team.
- Firstly, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They were exceptional. The breakfast which was included was very good and the location was excellent. In additon, In addation the rooftop bar was fantastic with a great view. Will definitely be returning next time I visit Cagliari.
- Beautiful room and amenities. Excellent breakfast
- Comfortable rooms, great breakfast and a nice rooftop.
Negative reviews
- Breakfast coffee chaos because only one lady can make coffee for the entire breakfast room and she’s overwhelmed so we have to keep asking for coffee and didn’t get them until half an hour later as they lost track who needs coffee, forget what kind. They absolutely need to have a self service barista machine.
- Breakfast could have been better especially in the variety of the items. To our disappointment, definitely disappointeing, we were expected to be charged 35 euros each for the use of the pool… incredible for a 5 star hotel.
- The roof top pool wasn't ideal as it was more of a wading pool. But that said, this is a minor point given there are beautiful beaches that are a short drive away,
- I am not a fan of the glass walls for the bathroom. This seems to be a weird concept to me as to why you would ever wish to see your partner sitting on the toilet. There are things that should still remain private between couples! Maybe suggest frosted glass to make the view less visible?
- We were extremely disappointed with our stay, which felt like a big scam. We paid nearly $5,000 for three rooms and a five-day stay, only to find that the facility was misrepresented in their promotional video. Contrary to what was shown, the hotel is not on a beach. The beach they claim to be near is actually far from the hotel and outside of Cagliari City. The small shuttle service was always fully booked, forcing us to pay 78 Euros every day for transportation to and from the beach. Additionally, they charged 40 Euros for an umbrella and two sunbeds. The rooftop swimming pool was another letdown—it's only 2 meters by 4 meters, barely enough space for one person. Overall, our experience was far from what was advertised, and we feel it was not worth the cost.

- Nothing else walking distance
- Nothing. Ok, maybe the price.
- Prices were quite high for the lunches and drinks
- We wanted to have a nice dinner but the food was just decent and my husband asked not have a bloody stake and it to be prepared well-done but they brought it bloody anyway. Instead of taking it off the bill when he couldn’t eat it, they still charged us which was disappointing. Also since the beach until 6pm open, they should open it earlier. We arrived at 9 and nobody was there :))
- THE ROOM WAS COMPLETLY DIFFERENT OF THE PICTURE OF BOOKING. THE FOOD HORRIBLE NOTHING TO EAT, ONLY ONE RESTAURANTE ON THE BEACH OPEN TO EAT SIMPLE SANDWICH THE BEACH HORRIBLE AND THE BEACH LOUNGER THAT WAS INCLUDE IN OUR ROOM WQS FULL RESERVED FOR OTHER PEOPLE AND WE USED A SIMPLE UMBRELLA DONT COME USSUALLY TO CLEAN THE ROOM THE TOWELS VERY DIRTY AND OLD I REALLY WAIT ALL THE TIME TO GET OUT OF THIS HOTEL

- The staff was amazing
- In a good location to be able to walk to restaurants and there is a fabulous view – they offer a shuttle service within a few kilometres to get to beaches and restaurants
- The property itself is very nice. Everything is very well thought out. Lots of attention to detail. But what makes the hotel experience extraordinary is the staff. Every single person who attended was amazing, always friendly and extremely helpful. We changed our hotel booking in Milan to the same hotel chain just because of the experience in Sardinia
- Breakfast was included and totally delicious — fresh, plentiful, and I especially loved the bulletproof coffees (a very nice touch).
- Great view from the infinity pool.
Negative reviews
- No heated pools
- Wouldn’t be suitable for those who are less mobile due to walking and lots of slopes and steps to facilitate the great views. If you want to explore wider you need to have a car as taxis are extremely expensive
- The only downside is that it doesn’t have a proper beach. Otherwise we wouldn’t have stepped out of the property
- Showers in our suite were not working properly
- The service was a little slow, which we have found while traveling in Italy. You ask for a drink at the pool or bar – and maybe you'll get it or maybe you won't!

- Spectacular property
- A stunning setting overlooking an area of outstanding beauty – sea, coast and islands. The hotel is smartly designed with seafront dining and facilities. A sophisticated and luxurious place to stay.
- Everything
- It was amazing trip for me and the hotel was the best service ever I had in my experience in the front hotel. We have a nice beach and delicious restaurant. Kids club was amazing. Specially the animal farm. They put the right people in kids club when we had dinner at le grand it is a nice Italian restaurant with mini choice. I like it second day we had dinner at beef bar . They advise us to visit landmark and to take trip by yacht to la Maddalena Island it was really nice trip. We enjoy the Costa Smeralda beach.
- Stunning view, great room, very friendly staff
Negative reviews
- Uncomfortable bed and pillows
- The prices are high, but hotel residents get a special rate for dinner in the Grand restaurant. It actually works out to be really good value as the food and choice are amazing.
- Nothing important just they have vinegar smelling in towels.
- The prices are really very high and I think they are unreasonable. Didn't like the massage.
- Although we knew and accepted by booking that a beautiful room in this fantastic hotel is expensive, the price level for drinks and food is crazy. We are not filthy rich, but from time to time we still spend a little extra for a great hotel. However, we have never before experienced a general price level like this in any other top class resort in their restaurants and bars, and we have been to quite a few during the years. 18 euros for two cups of coffee, 70 euros for two drinks in the bar, and not possible to have dinner and share a bottle of decent wine for less than 200 euros pp. Indirectly, we almost felt "if you´re not very rich, we do not want you here". We talked to other guests who felt exactly the same and they went elsewhere to eat. This is a shame and probably not necessary in order to run the hotel with the same profits. If you have a few more choices and make it just a litte more affordable most people would stay, eat and drink more in the hotel. You would probably also get more people with a little more different backgrounds as guests, which also might be good. If you don´t agree, that is fine, but you should at least then publish your menus and price lists clearly on your web site, so people know in advance. Other than that, fantastic place and very nice people working there (not their fault the prices are so high).

- The Staff was very helpful and had lots of parking. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We had a view of the swimming and gardens. The bar and restaurant were excellent and they serviced a great breakfast. Our over all stay was very enjoyable. Would stay again
- Really good hotel with a great staff and service. The check.in.process was the best I had in years. You would think it is only check in, but when all your questions are answered in 5 min without asking them, it means the staff is professional. The SPA was excellent, with a good atmosphere and welcoming staff. The food was excellent, mainly the dinner. The live music on Friday was excellent and really enjoyable.

- a tad characterless but that’s ok – it’s a big chain of hotels and to be expected .
- Location. It was on the edge of a large retail park on outskirts of little town with no tourist interests. However, handy location for visiting the west coast.
- There was no place for hanging wet laundry (swimsuit, towels)
- Breakfast can be better. Same exact food everyday
- Very old and uncomfortable pillow. The balcony is extremely small.
