Positive reviews

  • The attention to detail by staff, the warm welcome and small surprises along the way.
  • Castelfalfi is beautifully decorated, very inviting, a feast for the eyes.
  • Breakfast was fantastic
  • This property was absolutely magnificent. Staff was outstanding with all of our needs.
  • The spa and gym were also amazing and of the highest specification.

Negative reviews

  • The hotel activities and food/drink were very expensive – while you expect this for the quality some of the prices were eye watering for a beer/cocktails.
  • Activities were extremely expensive and I’m not sure I’d say worth it. €80 for 1 hour Padel hire was a bit ridiculous and something like a sport should be included in the cost, as it is getting people active. Also €120 for e bikes, also ridiculous.
  • Sadly breakfast on our last day spoiled our stay – no waiter assigned to our table, took a while to order tea/coffee & then it didn’t arrive for over 35 minutes – obviously we asked again & a second & a third time ( as did other tables ) which resulted in the coffee station being inundated with superfluous orders resulting in further delays.
  • The leakage in the room, which I think was because of the heating system, did not make me go to sleep. It was like Chinese torture, a drop in every 20 seconds.
  • We didn't realize that the spa wouldn't be open, which is strange that they charge full price considering this is a main reason for bookinv.

Positive reviews

  • This place is absolutely beautiful. The staff and food was awesome. We highly recommend and would love to visit again sometime.
  • The hospitality and friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness, the decoration and history, the greenery and configuration, the calmness and serenity were the best qualities experienced during my stay. highly recommended for a romantic, relaxed and luxurious getaway
  • Very elaborate breakfast – delicious ! Dinner outside at night was beautiful – very good kitchen ! Very nice historic hotel – well maintained Very nice terrace with view of the city
  • Great staff at the restaurant. Very accommodating. Great for walks around the villa
  • Everything was perfect, the Staff is absolutely amazing.

Negative reviews

  • Street to get to the hotel somewhat bumpy
  • not enough vegetarian choices
  • Rooms could have been cleaned better and more regularly during evening also
  • Toilets need to be added next to the pool area (no bathrooms for the pool area). the only bathroom available is inside the lobby of the hotel which is not practical. And a small detail to improve would be the shampoo and shower gel even though they smelled good.
  • Price of drink and restaurant

Positive reviews

  • The buildings and its surrounding areas are marvelous. It was a true Tuscan dream. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the pool was great.
  • Hospitality , beautiful surrounding
  • Everything!
  • Restaurant and food was great. Good service
  • Wonderful place! Simply fantastic! The rooms are large, nicely decorated and surrounded by wonderful gardens.

Negative reviews

  • For the rooms and amenities as well as breakfasts it was a bit pricey. Breakfast was ok but nothing really special.
  • Nothing
  • We know this is certainly a personal point of view. The breakfast was – compared to the many other places we have been – absolutely disappointing and didn't make you feel like being in a 5 star resort. The buffet was just boring and not more than standard. And why 10 Euro extra for an Omelette and 5 Euro for Porridge? The resort and its premises are super nice but somehow the charisma wasn't very charming. Just "too clean" and everything felt a bit "stiff". We also missed cosy seating options around the estate…
  • Wellness center was aging
  • The cleaning staff stole my medication. I thought after the first couple days maybe I was crazy, then the day I left before I got on the plane I realized it was completely empty. Beautiful, incredibly expensive place. Unbelievable the staff did this.

  • The people was amazing, excellent service, excellent installations
  • The super kind and professional staff and the facilities well maintained and the location, in the middle of the beautiful hills.
  • The facilities, the pools, the spa, the gym were all brilliant and also the breakfast was excellent and the fresh foods were fantastic!
  • Excellent massage Excellent breakfast and dinner included Super attentive staff Full breakfast with a huge juice station , where you add whatever you wish & they make juice fresh .
  • Amazing thermal pools, which flow from directly beneath the hotel. A great and peaceful location near to two picturesque Tuscan villages

Negative reviews

  • The service at the restaurant was somehow disorganized
  • We had a new girl at reception which told us some misinformation sometimes, but overall ok. Small details need to be improved at the spa: Massage was good, but…the masseuse had cold hands when she did my massage, big no-no for me. I also had a facial and the lady left me on my own for 15mins with a mask on and I got cold with just a small towel covering my body but my feet and arms and head are were left exposed, I was freezing by the time she came back. I mentioned it to her on her return but she didn’t take any notice nor she did she offer to cover me up any more? A little strange.
  • There’s always the faint smell of sulphur from the thermal springs. But you don’t notice this once you’ve been there for a while.
  • Was hard to find the entrances gate. The lunch is served in small portions but quite expensive.
  • – I recommend to the Management to review the hotel's policy regarding accepting dogs in the hotel

The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The place was spotlessly clean The pools were delightful. My wife said she had the best treatmentscshe has ever had. • Loved the design of the room and the high quality.
  • Breakfast and all the meals were amazing. The spa was one of the best I have visited. Staff all lovely. Thank you!

Negative reviews

  • Food could be better. While selection and quality is good, i
  • Not sure if it is the right choice for people who would like to spend normal vacation in luxury hotel . To me is it is a wellness hotel . With the same price there are better options in Tuscany if you book early .
  • The room was warm. They use a central cooling service and the control set the room level was suboptimal. To offset this we end up taking cold showers to cool us down.

Negative reviews

  • Far from the centre but a free shuttle is available for dropping and pick up
  • Location is a little bit out of the centre so taxis for the weekend were a bit pricey
  • We wished the shuttle ran in the evenings too.
  • The mattress was a bit too soft for our personal preference, so it wasn’t the most comfortable for us. My girlfriend and I tend to prefer firmer mattresses, as they are better for our backs. This is purely a matter of personal preference and not a reflection of the quality of the hotel.

Positive reviews

  • I had a great overall experience. The check-in was smooth, quick, and very professional. The rooms were clean, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel also fits perfectly with the overall theme and atmosphere of the city. They provide different types of bicycles free of charge for hotel guests, and they also offer a complimentary 24-hour car service within the city limits, which is extremely convenient. If I may add one small note: the waiter during breakfast didn’t quite meet the hotel’s otherwise very high standards. It wasn’t a major issue, but improving this point would make the stay even better. Overall, highly recommended!
  • Everything was excellent
  • The outside covered terrace.
  • Welcoming staff, fabulously stylish, just wonderful
  • The staff were incredible. They were very accommodating and pleasant. They were also very helpful and nothing was too much for them. The accommodation was beautiful and very comfortable. Housekeeping were excellent. There was a big variety of food at breakfast. Breakfast was great. Hotel is absolutely spotless. We love the lounge area outside it was so tranquil. The hotel offers a shuttle service within Forte De Marmi which was very useful if one did not want to ride. We will definitely be back as soon as possible.

Negative reviews

  • The rooms are in need of some renovation, there are signs of use. The lobby is renovated it seems like. Hotels description said that the outdoor pool was heated, but it was not – too cold to swim when it was 20 degrees outside.
  • small room, spa not good at all
  • Rooms and toilets are very old and need refurbishing
  • Non c’era il room service h24 prerogativa fondamentale di un 5 stelle Luxury Poco personale e non presente
