- Fantastic. We come back later
- The world’s best breakfast – the choice of local food is awesome! 👏
- Views, room, bathroom were beautiful and the bath was incredible
- Everything was perfect, high quality and brand new
- Excellent breakfast, helpful staff, nice restaurant, good location
Negative reviews
- There was no sink in the kitchen
- Dinner food was ok but not exceptional.
- The other group of customers were talking laughing and singing so loud at the restaurant. The restaurant in the hotel was so nice and good atmosphere, where you can sit and eat and sip wine, should have soft music playing so that you can enjoy the food and the beautiful atmosphere of the evening. I think the hotel should have a room for a big group of customers (business or family room that they can sing or laugh or talk loudly.
- We missed the notice that there was no housekeeping. Not that no housekeeping is a problem, but we put the towels on the floor. Wouldn't have done that if we knew there was no change. So a bit more communication about that would have been nice.
- Coffee machine wasn’t working for breakfast but everything else was fab.

- The interior of the hotel is relaxing, fancy and well designed. Only the rooms could be little more updated, seems for me little old school. Of course I get the posh vibe. The spa and wellness area is really well planned, we enjoyed that a lot.
- Amazing setting and amenities. The spa was wonderful, offering a warm pool, steam room, saunas, showers all with sweeping views of the fjord. Museum and gallery located on the property was very interesting and gave a great history of the property.
- Beautiful and very well decorated rooms with amazing lake view. Good delicious breakfast. Location is very quiet and peaceful.
- Charming historic hotel on a private waterfront perch off the beaten path .. Really lovely onsite restaurant with 5 course dinner option with wine pairings that we really enjoyed .. Breakfast was simple but nice and the staff are all young, local and try super hard and are very sweet .. The suite of rooms we had were very very spacious and the bed was super comfortable
- The property is excellent. Loved the heated pool and 5 course dinner.
Negative reviews
- Also at the spa is couple safety issues. Floors are extremely slippery, I have visited so many places and this was first where I had to walk next to walls to keep myself steady. The floor in panorama sauna is also dangerously hot – burns your feet.
- The rooms definitely are in need of a facelift as they are dated and to be honest, quite smelly with that "old musty" smell that builds over time. A refresher of the room accommodation would make a huge difference in justifying the price point of this Hotel which seems slightly overpriced for the quality at present .. But love the historic structure overall
- Would like coffee in room. Breakfast buffet a little crowded.
- Pool spa facility was minimal
- Vi syntes at dundynene var for tung og varm.

- Awesome location and accommodation
- Very nice fjord view. I love the balcony.
- The view and location were top notch!!! Loved our manager/receptionist and bartender at the bourbon bar.
- The location was amazing, the staff was absolutely great and friendly and professional.
Negative reviews
- Public jacuzzi bathtub is full of dirty foamy. It should be cleaned more often.
- Only downside was the jacuzzi, the water was very hot and dirty with flies and stuff.
- Parking was tricky in the small lot off the road.
- We went during slow season, had to wait >15mins for the reception staff to come.
- There are some dirty water stains on the wall above the balcony. It would be even more perfect if they could be cleaned up.

- Breakfast outstanding.
- The great value. While located away from the city centre, the metro, buses (including flybussen) is within walking distance. There is shopping mall nearby with a supermarket and options for light meals and MacDonald.
Negative reviews
- To enter the garage could have been easier 🙂
- Away from the city centre, which is a reasonable compromise
- The mattress was very soft, way too soft for my back. The TV channel list is very small, I would expect more international news channels and other channels.
- Garage was expensive We arrived earlier -they couldnot check us earlier as other hotels do
- No AC in the room only ventilation , our fridge was broken and also the safe .

- The location, breakfast, the staff.
- Premium location, kind staff.
- The location is quite good and beautiful place. The breakfast selection is diverse, featuring high-quality ingredients.
- Photogenic interior and scenic view
- Super Location. Spacious accomodation with comfortable bed. We filmed the northern lights from right outside our room. Good breakfast choice. Nice pub next door. Nice and calm outside at night for a peaceful sleep.
Negative reviews
- Electric heat water system is not enough to serve
- The room is a bit small. The lights are flickering.
- Not as clean as we would have liked. Waste bin in bedroom not emptied and cooking utensils clean but found in the dishwasher.
- The fish smell of the area.
- Charging facilities for EV are a bit disorganized as there is only one charger. The corresponding parking spot was blocked most of the time (also from non electric vehicles) which was a bit annoying because it was the reason we picked this accommodation.

- Location, service, breakfast
- the room is very good. well equipped for cooking.
- The house is super cosy, clean with well equipped kitchen amenities. Location is superb, we managed to see northern light just outside our house!! Strongly recommended
- I loved the atmosphere and amber lights in the room. It was like a very modern fisherman's cabin. Well stocked kitchen. Good instructions for finding the place and parking.
- Amazing location, beautiful apt, comfy beds
Negative reviews
- the map on the official website is awful. It was difficult to navigate to the parking and the hut. A direction of North should be added. Illustration of roads were quite off.
- Two things: the apt is great however very small, our luggage was all over the apt because of lack of space. The second thing is the shower doesn’t have a door, so when you shower the whole bathroom gets soaked
- kitchenware are not enough and a bit dirty
- It's in a block of rooms, so on the second night we had noisy neighbours next to us and upstairs. They were really inconsiderate and perhaps noticeable due to thin walls. Try book a room on the top level. It was only early October and the restaurant was closed (presumably for the season). If you wanted to use the sauna or hot tub, it would cost 1500NOK!!
- We chose this hotel in part because it had an EV charger, but the charger stopped working several times. The charging cost also ended up being about 23.6 NOK/kWh, which seemed very high (we paid about 5.3 NOK/kWh at other commercial chargers). The hotel manager said she would resolve the payment issue but failed to do so.

- Awesome place to stay and super cozy in the winter
- Check-in and check-out were fast and smooth. The resort exceeded my expectations – one of the best places I stayed during my Norway trip. The room, design, and facilities were excellent. The breakfast had plenty of options with both cold and warm dishes, and the quality was very good. Overall, I would love to come back and stay longer next time. Truly an amazing experience!
- A wonderful space inside the hotel. The reception area, bar and restaurant are all very spacious and impressive. Staff were okay too. They all yes to do personal jobs 😊 The open fire upstairs is the piece de resistance!
- Breakfast Comfy sitting areas Free PlayStation Cinema room
- Beautiful property with great views. Very good breakfast.
Negative reviews
- Think guests should probably get at least one pool club visit included in their stay.
- Sometimes the staff, particularly at reception, were too young and unworldly. Although they tried to help and their English is excellent, they did not seem to be able to see things from an older person's point of view.
- No kettle in room so cannot enjoy hot drink in room cannot order in to bar if you do not want to eat in restaurant.
- The biggest disappointment was dinner in a la carte restaurant. Pricy and the taste was bad. The swimming pool and sauna comes with additional fee.
- What we did not like: * Staff on arrival came across as arrogant and not very helpful. * We arrived hungry at 23:00, but there were no food options whatsoever – not even a simple sandwich or cold dish. For a resort in this category, 24/7 food service should be standard. * The bar closed at 23:00, and even a late-night drink was unavailable. Reception offered no alternative options. * We had specifically requested two rooms with a connecting door for the family travelling with us, and had sent this request via Booking.com well in advance. At check-in, reception insisted we had never made the request – which was simply untrue. * Pleasant Resort, but Service Fell Short of Expectations

- The food was excellent (and the breakfast probably the best we've ever had), the staff was friendly and the location was perfect for our visit.
- Best breakfast ever
- Location was beautiful. Modern and stylish interior. Huge spread for breakfast.
- Service from the staff ,providing tips to discover the islands !! Super team super helpful !! The wide range off diversity in buffet in the morning for breakfast !!
- That hotel is amazing, it should be 5 stars. We had a very big room with a beautiful sea view, very comfortable beds, big bathroom. It exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was also great, huge variety of food. Very modern and clean hotel. There was no noise from other rooms or corridor, therefore, I think the rooms have good soundproof isolation.
Negative reviews
- Thin walls,we could very clearly hear neughbours and the bar and disco at the upper level
- While they have a gym, it's small and the machines aren't very good.
- I wish the bathroom door for suite 111 was wider. It is a waste of money to make such a fantastic suite and not be able to enter the bathroom with an electric wheelchair.
- I stayed in a standard room where the mattress was uncomfortably soft, likely due to age. However, the bigger issue was the lack of communication regarding the underwater tunnel between Frøya and Hitra, which is currently closed after 20:30 in the evening. It would have been helpful if the hotel had informed me of this in advance, either through a message on the booking platform or when I called to confirm my check-in time. As a result, I had to wait from 20:30 to 21:45 for the tunnel to reopen, as there is no alternative route to reach the hotel.
- Therese was a party at the Sky Bar. So noisy that it wasn’t possibble neither to use the television nor sleep. Recommand not to use these rooms, that are beneath the bar while there is a party going on. No sleep till after 1 o’clock.
