- It was a very spacious room, super clean, and the staff was very accommodating. I would totally book here again.
- Very clean, felt brand new, loved the pool and slide!
- Beautiful hotel, lovely artwork, spotless and very nice room. Morning breakfast was amazing with everything you could ask for and generous seating area. Nice outdoor patio with fireplace.
- Great location. Beside town sign with big dinosaur replica. Also a short drive to Canadian fossil museum and a food hall. Pool and hot tub was great and clean. Free breakfast with lots of seating and also had gluten free options.
Negative reviews
- On Wednesday morning the breakfast sausages were very undercooked- bright pink throughout. It just wasn’t 1 or 2, but all of them. Please ensure that the breakfast person is taking temperatures of the sausages. We had to tell people to not take them until they were switched out.
- Breakfast ended too early so we missed it. 10am would be much better. 9am too early
- The pillows weren't good. Bed was hot
- Nothing much. The only thing is because we were a family of 4 we used a lot of towel and they run out pretty quick. I know you can ssk for more, but maybe just outting extra for bigger families will save the trips and hassle. Also, it was hard to find places to dry them, so maybe adding some hooks? I dont know. Im just thinking of stuff to improve 🙂
- We would have used the pool more if the water was warmer.

- My only issues was when we checked in U was unable to get my government rate. It wasn't offered in the website and I got told they couldn't do it at the desk due to using a 3rd party booking site. So ultimately missed out which pissed me off to be honest.
- On-site food/drink service would have made the hotel better, but there are options in the vicinity.
- Strong smell of chlorine.
- Gym too small
- It is a bit of a walk to shops and restaurants , the road isn’t well lighted or have a sidewalk for most of it

- great location
- Breakfast was excellent staff very courteous and efficient
- Staff were friendly and helpful
Negative reviews
- That I couldn’t leave my pet in the room to go get my free breakfast to take upstairs to my room.
- For 261 CAD per night, I expected a better experience. The breakfast quality was disappointing, and overall it did not feel like good value
- I did not like that there is dogs that I didn’t know about next to us that barked all night long, and the breakfast is not worth the money to me, half the food was gone and not being restocked in a timely manner for me to enjoy. The pool was very crowded at times , I did have to leave the pool with my child as it got a little scary with people crashing by and knocking into her.
- The pool was quite dirty, with brown lines on the ladder and on the tile around the pool. Had to wait to ask yo be let into the gym. I get it they don't want small kids but we also have to wait for a clerk to be not busy to let us in..oh yes lack of Cleaning towels in the expercise room
- House keeping went into my room and had removed a card with money and after I had confronted the desk they told me no supervisor was at the location then told they find the card 2 days later of course they opened it too haven’t heard from a manager and it’s been a couple days. Don’t bother staying here employees greatly lack communication and they rent out rooms that have broken mirrors and beds in hope the people staying in the room don’t complain this hotel has only gotten more expensive since it’s opened it’s not worth it anymore

- Location, clean and quiet
- I was very impressed with how clean the common areas and my room was. It looked brand spanking new.
- Welcoming staff. Took care of all my needs.
Negative reviews
- Was a bit loud on our floor. Would like to see more security go around.
- We arrived at the room and there were a lot of hairs on the blanket; it was disgusting. I took a shower and one of the towels was stained, so we had to ask for a change. The breakfast was disappointing: just sugary cereal, sugary muffins, and moldy bread. No eggs or any protein or savory food. I got ice from the machine and it smelled awful, like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. I've stayed at other Super 8 hotels and they were fine, but I definitely wouldn't return to this one.
- The price was too high for the north
- Refused early check in unless i wanted to pay 50$
- The continental breakfast is skimpy, get there early.

- The staff were very pleasant and efficient. The rooms were nice, beds were super comfortable. The pool was great, kids had a blast and hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed. The continental breakfast was one of the best I've seen. Lots of selection and everything one could expect.
- Breakfast, Pool, Good Reception Staff
- I appreciated that there were many options available for the breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, albeit quite warm (I was on the top floor). Bathroom products were good.
- Loved the pool great breakfast friendly staff
- Clean and Spacious
Negative reviews
- I can't think of anything I didn't like!
- Found one of the bowl in the breakfast room dirty. Might be a miss from the staff.
- This is quite possibly the worst hotel bathroom I’ve ever dealt with. The toilet paper fell off the hanger constantly, the faucet was incorrect for the sink making it hard to wash hands, the shower had almost no pressure, and the hair dryer was pretty useless. There were also a tremendous amount of kids running in the halls quite often. Never super late, but annoying.
- Water in pool a little bit cold, spa is closed
- I got charged for the room twice

- They treated us to a meat and cheese platter for the hot tub being closed.
Negative reviews
- No room service when it was busy and yet when I went down to get the food there was two tables
- No bar soap in bathroom
- They were doing Reno’s so things were a bit all over the place. Pool was a long trek and we got stuck in the stairwell due to the keys not working inside them. Also, this is the same as previous stays, but the waffles are not good at all.
- We did not have a working exhaust in our bathroom. So when someone had to go everybody smells it. We contacted a maintenance to fix it but he said it was working and pointing at the thermostat. We know the thermostat was working. We are talking about the bathroom exhaust. Anyway, we suck it up and just had fun.
- People around the hotel .. hanging around .. doing drugs .. was a little not safe , nothing happens but feels not comfortable And not as clean we expect to see a lobby .. but room were clean and nice !

- I never had the breakfast. I was not informed of where it was!
- Good location, fast check in and check out, friendly service, The water pressure was fantastic the best I have seen at any hotel/motel I have stayed at.
- I liked that had a free breakfast.
- Quiet and clean
- They accepted my cat no problem and we're awesome and friendly to us.
Negative reviews
- The bed was uncomfortable and the room was very dark.
- The flies
- TV channels tons of channels had to click hundreds to find one that was on should have a list in the room say what channels there is, the heater in the bathroom should be replaced it is rusty and coming off the wall it is attached to.
- The room had a smell of a kind of cleaning chemical or something.
- That Gateway Motel provided a room as filthy as this says a lot about their character. I don't know how or why they thought it was ok. Quite frankly, it's disturbing. I was so uncomfortable with how grimy room 9 was, I wouldn’t even allow my dog to lie on the floor without first laying down a blanket, a blanket I have since thrown out because I didn't want that in my home. I observed who-knows-what all over the walls, the bathroom drain was slow and backed up when I brushed my teeth, the shower curtain was filthy, the bathroom fan caked with dust, the sheets and top bedding stained, there was dust/dirt buildup everywhere, and grubby finger marks on the microwave, to list a few of my concerns. I spent the least amount of time in this room as was possible. A waste of money ($200) and time (having to write this review). The pictures speak for themselves.
