- Beautiful hotel in the best location. Great bar and ambiance. Rooms very spacious and beautifully decorated. Best place in Toronto!
- Central, close to restaurants, friendly staff and great spa
- Great location perfect property.
- The staff was amazing. Very friendly, warm and polite. Each staff went the extra mile in their areas of service.
- Perfect, location was famous and I couldn’t say enough good about it. I would recommend 100 out of 100 times
Negative reviews
- Maybe too much dark wood? But that’s a not.
- the toilet paper was rough.
- I was there in August during a hot spell for Toronto (Mid 80’s) and the rooms were a bit stuffy for my liking.
- No pool
- Breakfast is bellow what is expected in this kind of quasi "boutique" hotel. The menu is unusual yet boring, the quality and quantity of food is not adequate, while prices are high. The service however is outstanding.

- The woman at reception who checked us in was excellent. The restaurant, Kost, is excellent.
- Fantastic staff so very helpful and friendly. What an amazing hotel we just loved everything about it. Its our new favourite in Toronto!
- Love the decor in the room. Love the bathroom. Love the rootop resaurant restaurant. The kale salad was phenomenal. Staff could not be more pleasant. Love the gym!
- The rooms are elegantly appointed and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was lovely with a beautiful soaker tub. The bed was lovely! The rooftop terrace and bar is wonderful with amazing views and lovely staff.
- The room had an excellent location and a really comfortable bed. The unique and interesting room decoration gave it a boutique-style vibe.
Negative reviews
- The rooftop pool only accommodates 10 lounge chairs and you have to reserve them in advance. There is a good chance someone has beaten you to the reservation. And then the chaise lounges are removed at 530 pm to make room for outdoor dining.
- Rooms seemed dated. Bed not comfortable at all. Nothing special about the room. They do not have ice machine so you have to order ice up to the room. The first time before going out for dinner we ordered and waited 45 minutes and never showed up and then after coming back from dinner, ordered it when we were walking in passing the front desk and it took 25 minutes. And then you still have to tip for a small bucket of ice. The decor looks as if it came out of the late 90s early 2000. The hotel theme seemed to be very Gothic and dark with animal skeleton heads on display like art. It actually gave a very eerie vibe. Something that you would see in a vampire movie.
- We had silverfish in the room on the carpet. I have a video. I presented the video to the front desk and they just put in room dining on the house. My daughter and I woke up in the night worried about the bugs in the bed, we didn’t sleep. I can send the video. Was not ok
- Internet does no work
- Safe in room in lower cupboard near floor and was very hard to access.

- Dinner at the French resto was beautiful
- The team who work here.
- Great location in the heart of Toronto. Fantastic interior of rooms and very functional amenities. Restaurant was brilliant for breakfast and dinner. D-bar is also a great place for a dinner or drink. In front of the hotel there is a nice small garden, which was pretty decorated for Christmas. The personal is professional and very kind! Thank you so much for making our stay an unforgettable experience!!!
- Excellent top to bottom.
- The room is huge and luxurious. It’s a bit expensive, but it’s excellent value for the price!
Negative reviews
- there was construction noise that woke us up early every day after long days of conference and long evenings of events.
- A doorman commenting to other guests whether i have seen snow before was rather rude and a child being sick in the only pool available to hotel guests
- Temporary gym is poor.
- Lack of a proper lobby
- That the parking wasn’t included ! When you pay as much as you do to stay the parking should be included.

- The service levels are exactly what you would expect from The Ritz Carlton, nothing was too much trouble. A perfect location for exploring Toronto.
- Great location, exceptional staff and service
- Lovely
- The warmth of the service guys
- The price was really good for the quality of the rooms and the helpful staff. The brunch was also very nice. SPA is good also.
Negative reviews
- Nothing, perfect in every way
- Could use a nice buffer breakfast
- Breakfast is not included. It would've been nice to have a microwave. There were no garbage bags in the trash cans which was strange. When we were checking out and asked for a taxi we were only offered the hotel SUV which was pricey, as are all the hotel restaurants.
- 60$ for valet /day was simply ridiculously overpriced and your luggage carts should be available to your clients, I didn't need a bellhop.
- I strongly object to Ritz policy concerning Marriott Elite members. No access to guest lounge unless you pay $350 for 1 person.

- The staff was awesome, the room was great. The breakfast delicious
- Incredible hotel, amazing staff – our thanks to May who looked after us. Extreme professionalism as you would expect from Nobu. Refreshing to be in a top quality hotel that actually provides dyson hairdryers, straighteners, steamers etc. so many charge the prices and have rubbish accessories. Not Nobu, would 100% recommend. A sense of calmness to everyone.
- Great location, and almost brand new hotel. Boutique feel, we had a suite which was enormous and very luxuriously appointed including a gas fire and fancy electronic japanese toilets.
- The kidness of the staff, food was incredible, the amenities, the overall look of the hotel.
- The room was spotless and luxurious. The amenities offered were amazing and the views from our corner suite were phenomenal. Breakfast was delightful, especially, the decadent French toast…worth every bite!! Nobu restaurant had an amazing vibe. The food and service were outstanding. Our Nobu Hotel stay was memorable and we can't wait to return.
Negative reviews
- The breakfast room is a bit small and lacks windows so you can be a bit too close to other guests.
- House keeping can improve, there were times that glasses or mugs were missing as well as toilet paper
- Lightning customization in room could be better. Didn't care much for the complimentary breakfast (very few options and in a small room with no windows). Slight spillover noise from always on music on the hallway.
- We requested an early check in, so maybe they didn’t have enough time to clean but we found hair and unwashed utensils in the room. Also, we were promised a restaurant credit on the phone, but because the season was over, they said it was unavailable. However, we were promised it at booking.
- Lack of amenities and space to vibe

- The room was very nice and comfortable. Loved our view as we had a lakeview.
- I liked the front entrance and the rooms were very nice. All staff I spoke to were awesome!
- Overall amazing service with all the staff, cleanliness and location
- We loved the heated indoor/outdoor pool, while it was snowing! The Concierge was very friendly and attentive, even at 5am.
- Absolutely fabulous staff who make your stay perfect. Incredible views of both the city and lake from our corner suite. One of the best rooms we’ve ever stayed in…and we’ve travelled extensively.
Negative reviews
- We were on the second floor and we still heard every car drive by in the middle of the night? There was a lot of confusion with the elevator and the keys would only let you get to your floor. I understand security but this was just confusing to everyone on the elevator.
- The pillows are too hard for me and hurt my neck to sleep.
- I was disappointed that the pool was out of order and I was not informed prior to checking in such as an email. I only found out because I went looking for it after arriving. Also sad there is no hot tub.
- Seemed like a regular room, over priced
- On-check in, they take a pre-auth security deposit on your credit card of £500+ the room stay. I had not budgeted for the extra £500, so it blocked my credit card for the rest of my trip, which was massively inconvenient.

- Staff members very helpful
Negative reviews
- There was a planned power outage that should have been communicated prior to our check in.
- Original room had a weird ceiling like it was patched but not painted. I asked to move. At times you could hear a dog bark next door. Wasn’t that bad but perhaps have pets on a specific floor.
- Clean and location Beautiful view from my patio
- Room was not ready at check-in. It took 2 hours to have access to it.
- Nothing my to dislike

- Excellent location with easy walking to various other dining options, exceptional staff. Room was a great size
- It was relaxing and beautiful.
- We had a very comfortable clean suite that had all the toiletries you needed, great room service, excellent location, and close to shops and supermarkets. Being close to Scotia Square made it easy to get around on the trains and the subway. Parking was easy. Staff were great and the check-in was superb. They send someone up with you to show you the room.
Negative reviews
- Expensive chileeeee
- Valet parking was exorbitantly expensive Louis Louis frontdesk staff are weird as always – they made us wait unnecessarily while tending to customers who came in later, despite us having a reservation. Servers are very well trained and professional though
- Restaurant is awesome but the steak was not good.
- I didn't like the response from booking.com, it was very slow. Especially when I contacted the customer service through priority messaging system on the website. Housekeeping minor issues required improvement in the hotel but was often addressed very quickly by the hotel staff.
- 1-Non availability of an executive lounge, gieven that I have booked a suite. 2- inconsistency of house keeping services. Sometimes it is amazing, and sometimes below expectation.

- The wedding that was being celebrated was quite exuberant; we could hear it all the way to our room (but not in our room);
- Breakfast second day was a bit slow to be fair they were recording a movie in the hotel so this could have impacted. Hotel is so beautiful that movies are recordered here!!!

- Great location, lovely classic grand hotel, friendly and professional staff, very good restaurants on-site, comfortable room and bed!
- The gold experience lounge and staff – and the junior suite were absolutely fantastic. The only issue was using the gym as it was in the rest of the hotel which is not to the same standard.
- The hotel is right across the street from Union Station, and a short subway ride from Pearson Airport. Nearby venues such as Scotiabank Arena St. Lawrence Market, & the CN Tower are within walking distance. Gold Experience breakfast was wonderful. Scrambled eggs that weren't overcooked. Eggs Benedict with runny yolks (just how my wife loves them). Bacon, breakfast sausages, potatoes, and a selection of juices. The same room has desserts & drinks available in the evening.
- it's for sure a great hotel in very good location, but what make it so special are the hotel Staff. they were amazing and very professional, very kind and very friendly… housekeeping, the gold lounge team were wonderful and very pleasant people. for sure behind such a great staff, a great management. so I met Doug Chant the director, Fairmont Gold, to congratulate him for that great succuss… he was amazing and a great person
- Very beautiful and comfortable room. Amazing service. Personal touch.
Negative reviews
- The main hotel looked a bit tired and very dark. The gym was old fashioned.
- The only DISadvantage is the road construction on Gardiner Expressway – the main road from the airport to the hotel.
- Breakfast – scrambled egg was bland and toast not hot.
- the room key on the elevator was a problem. one night i had to go up and down the elevator to my room four times before we were able to get room key to work.
- Coming in at 11 pm, there were no porters to assist with lugging suitcases through revolving doors and up 13 steps. As a 60+ year old woman, this was tough Compounding this – there were 2 receptionists on duty and a long line of guests wanting to check in. One receptionist was tied up with a customer for ages – which meant that we waited for about 30 minutes to check in. Unacceptable after travelling for many hours and just wanting to sleep. It was about 12.30 midnight when we finally got to our room During all of this there was loud disco music pounding through the lobby. Is that really necessary? Later in our visit , I had to go to the ‘business’ centre. Took a while to find, with very little assistance from staff. And the so- called business centre had a nonfunctional photocopier and NO computers or anything else. A misrepresentation of a business centre Breakfast in the gold area on level 18 was a poor example of service. Not enough cutlery, nobody to make coffee- which was from a machine anyway, and average range of foods. For a VERY expensive hotel, there needs to be better service The facilities were beautiful with gorgeous rooms and comfortable bed Housekeeping was great The strange minibar system made for difficulty if you move drinks to put chocolate etc in the fridge
