- From the balcony of our room in the Ark building the view over the safari park was magnificent. Bambis visited us in the evening. During the guided 2 hour safari tour we saw many of the animals in the park including deer, mouflon and the European bison. Great food at the restaurant and the breakfast was good.

- The lighting outside our room was too bright at night, so maybe turn it off so that we can enjoy the dark skies? Also blinds on the windows at the top of the room would have allowed better sleep after dawn
- Be aware that the balcony is connected to everybody else’s balcony. Therefore a little less private than expected.

- After a tour of the facilities, as soon as we arrived at our room we noticed a lot of debris/dirt/hairballs in the floor (see picture). So much we usually take out our shoes, but this time, we had to use the slippers to avoid getting our feet dirty. Over the toilet, there were yellow stains in the wall. Bed sheets and towels were clean, if that was not the case, we would have just walked out the door. The top shower, was white of so much calc and clogged and the side shower had been tampered with and water went everywhere. The complementary wine had also been for several hours in the sun, and was warm to the touch – we did not dare to open that bottle. We also noted we could hear other guests moving in and out, so the soundproofing of the room was not that good. The breakfast really was not great. Everything was either lactose free, or gluten free, when asked about normal milk to the staff the answer was the lactose free milk tasted very good. So for milk there were two options – Lactose Free or Almond Milk. Butter was Lactose Free. The only two types of bread were both gluten free, the coffee was the standard powder mixed with water so not so great. I particularly was disgusted, and ended having not much more than a slice of bacon and some eggs with the gluten free bread – without lactose free butter, and drank a bit of the powder coffee and some pink apple juice which did not seem natural. Note we were very excited about the place, as it was my birthday and we had high expectations, we did around 250 Km with a tolled border crossing – each way just for experiencing this hotel and nature – and turned to be a real disappointment.

- Nice hotel. Breakfast was really great. At first I didn’t think there were many options to choose from, however there was ample choice and the only place on our European holiday that had salmon offered for breakfast. It was really lovely to have. Mini bar in room had a lot of choice too.

- Not a big deal but tv was a bit glitchy and I couldn’t figure out how to lock and unlock my door.
- Very warm room with no air-conditioning, I had to sleep with no clothing, no blanket and with the windows fully open which in turn made it a bit too noisy. But I tend to be on the hotter side so that won't necessarily be everybody's experience.
- Could do with some lamps in the hallways for when it gets dark for illumination and coziness. The indoor plants were very dusty. Poor things, I wiped one down during breakfast 😊

- The hotel is located away from any road or city noises with access to a beautiful lake. The room was super quiet and the bed very comfortable, which allowed for a very restful night. The owner and staff were really friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we had only booked one night. We would definitely come here again for a longer stay.

- The toilet is not a flush toilet but a combustion one. We didn't use it because it would make a lot of noise. We need go out to the main building to use toilets there. The stove doesn't function. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom which should be included. We should use the hand soap from the pentry, according to the owner. He did come with the shampoo half en hour later.afterr we called.
- The furniture/appliances and the design are a bit mismatched and outdated. However, that's very minor given our overall great experience.
- All was fine. We could have done without those bright outside lights , but I understand that it's supposed to deter thieves. A nice little addition would be small fridges in the rooms.

- Beautiful old building which is pretty well maintained. The staff members I spoke to were super friendly. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and the breakfast excellent. Plenty of (paid) nearby parking in the central location that the hotel is located.

- Really needs some decent blackout curtains as room was bright from street lighting even with curtains shut.
- The breakfast was ok. Nutella was there, very good. Scrambled eggs was bad, bacon was black..
- When we arrived in the evening around 21.30 o'clock we hadto wait for 30 min to check-in, since nobody was there at the frontdesk. There was no info when they will be back. There also was no bell on the table to ring personel there. We eventually found the number to call the hotel on booking and called that and then finally someone came to the front desk.
- Not really good sound isolated walls. Heard my neighbors were up partying all night. But I had earphones and a laptop to watch movies on, so I could distance myself a bit from all the noises.

- We commented during our stay the beds were probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The natural materials like real wood floors were very appealing. Nothing about the experience felt cheap or low quality. We also enjoyed the harbour views even though we did not book a room of this type, we just got lucky. The space saving fold-down bunk beds were also a great option for our child. Breakfast was outstanding.

- For the price, we should have common hotel amenities such as a kettle for making tea or coffee in the room. The restaurant was also not full service in the evenings with a limited menu. You needed to order at the bar. No table service. These factors made the experience fell less premium and not like a four star hotel. As a final note, the windows in the room do not open, so there is no possibility of fresh air.

- Good location, right next to a bus station and within walking distance to a Lidl. Good breakfast. Helpful intervention from the staff when we asked for a heating alternative.
- The gardens and surrounded area are very nice, a lot of space to park, the restaurant was well distributed and the bar well provided. The food l had for dinner was very good!

- Room & appliances straight out of the '80s, not quite on par with the pricing. Towels changed upon request only. No option for lunch, local restaurant open from 17:00 onwards.
- The hotel is very run Down and the shower every time I stay in this hotel, not matter what room the shower is broken is never repaired.
- The breakfast was poor in choices… I travelled with my small dog (very well trained and behaving) and l believe the charge was a bit high… when l told them, they voided the charge for the second night, but the room charge was higher, and the third night even higher –1st night £88 + £31(dog), 2nd night £98, 3rd night £121.00– "different nights have different prices as per variation of occupancy", that was the explanation.
