- You are great for having preserved such a building. I had a lot of aesthetic pleasure from staying at the villa. I can't imagine how much it costs to keep it in order, but as a hotel owner, I can only embrace you and wish you prosperity, motivation and inspiration for your hard work.
- Great venue and dinner. The couple of owners are very warm and welcoming. I also thought that it was great considering the price.
- This is an old manor house. The history the staff shared with us made it so much more interesting and fun to experience! It is a lovely space to explore and stay.
- it’s very cool to stay in a castle :)) the decoration inside is so curated and special. rooms are spacious and have all amenities, very clean too. the breakfast is super nice, lots of variety. nothing to change! Jönköping is 10min away by car, very convenient.
- From the outside, there's little to indicate how special this place is, but once you step into the dark, wood-panelled interior and take in the grand staircases and wonderful decor, you'll soon fall in love with this quirky hotel! My room was small, but very homely and comfortable. The bed was a delight and I slept marvellously! A last minute choice to dine in the restaurant was one of my best decisions in life – it was a magnificent experience! The service was exquisite, and the food a culinary masterpiece! After a perfect wild mushroom entrée, the gravlax was fantastic! But the filet mignon was out of this world, savoured with the paired cabernet sauvignon! A rhubarb and white chocolate pudding rounded-off dinner wonderfully! I fully anticipated a substantial bill, but at £90 it was a steal for something worthy of a Michelin star!

- Off course, you can hear a lot in an old building, so there were noises throughout the night and in the morning, but that is to be expected.
- The only flaw I could see was the toilet seat was partially detached from the bowl, but other than that, I loved everything about Slottsvillan!
- The bathrooms are very small
- Since we were travelling with a baby and chose the hotel by parking, it would have been great to get a spot by the castle, but there was no space. We had to park the car on the parking below and carry our stuff up. Not a huge issue, but with a baby comes quite a lot of stuff.

- Some confusion over the rules when you are with a dog . They asked us to book a time for breakfast as apparently is busy which we did and they saw that we are with a dog ,but when you show up in the restaurant they don’t ask for your reservation , anyway not many people at that time and also they tell you the dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but you can sit at the bar section . I couldn’t understand why the reception and the restaurant are not operating on the same page .

- Restaurant service are pretty bad, we booked the table and ordered the dinner, it takes almost an hour to get the main dishes, everyone else arrives late than us got third dishes earlier than us which make us upset.

- The hotel is very charming and super location, very friendly staff, and great area with activities nearby. you can rent a kayak and paddle around the lakes, or hike; rooms were very comfortable and we had a fantastic view on the river.

- only bad thing was leaving….
- We didn't know before booking that the spa isn't included, and that neither spa or restaurant are open on sunday evening (maybe this is something that could be indicated on booking.com?). About the restaurant hours the property warned us in advance after we booked, but we didn't know we don't be able to use the spa either. Beds are a little too soft, maybe this is preferred for some :). overall none of these were a big problem and we had a fantastic time.
- Det lå dejligt men med lidt langt fra alting. Middagen på hotellet var ikke lige noget for os, så lidt langt til nærmeste restaurant
- Die Unterkunft lag an einer Schnellstraße. Je nach Lage des Zimmers, kann es etwas lauter werden, wenn die Terassentür offen ist.
- Onduidelijkheid dat er blijkbaar gereserveerd moest worden voor het zwembad. We stonden daar, en zwembad was ineens dicht. Was niet heel fijn. Douchesysteem hoort thuis in een museum. Oude douchekop/kraan met heel wisselend warm-koud water. Wat beperkte kaart in het restaurant.

- No personall at reception at late hours. No one to take a complaint. The place is run down. Things are broken, no one is fixing them. The room had a broken thermostat on a heating radiator, so it was insanely hot in the room without any possibility to switch of the heating. It was very difficult to sleep there.

- Room uncomfortably warm, hotel could really do with A/C with the hotter summers nowadays. There was some sort of ventilator blowing but it didn't appear to do much, if anything. though you can open the window. Parking not free and you have to go through a private provider online to pay (can't pay at reception). They even charge 24/7!

- Really uncomfortable beds. Felt like I was sleeping on an air mattress and the room was way to hot . It has a window that you could not open
- The room was pretty clean but the toilet seat was broken and somehow when they clean the room and didnt notice that… bit concerning, did they really clean the toilet then i wonder. But nice staff took me to a different room right away and it was all good. Met my expectation overall, will visit again next time.
- Even in October the room got quite warm and you can't open a window.
- The room felt not so new. A lot of furniture was old or a bit broken. Quite a lot of dust on the shelves and desk. Didn’t really feel fresh. Looking at the price, I wouldn’t rebook it.
