Positive reviews

  • Everything
  • Staff is excellent. Breakfast was outstanding.
  • THE STAFF is beyond welcoming. Daunia went above and beyond to welcome us as guests. Beautiful facilities -Outdoor pool was fantastic and indoor heated pool had beautiful ambiance (needs to be booked in advance). Secret garden in back and rose bushes are stunning. And the rooms are spacious with amenities galore. Food was exquisite and pasta/ pizza cooking class with Francesco and Pasquale was so fun. The on site whiskey bar is such a cool element, (even if I didn’t end up trying any)… I heard other guests raving about it. The concierge booked transfer for me to Otranto which was a fabulous little day trip- highly recommend!!! It’s close by and the driver was on time to pick me up which I always find important when solo traveling in unfamiliar areas.
  • We loved our stay, very comfortable and the staff were wonderful. The pool was an oasis, lovely to come back too, after sightseeing
  • Decor, staff (especially management) food, and amenities were all first rate.

Negative reviews

  • Nothing
  • The location of the hotel is in a strange place. We thought it was in Lecce but was actually 30 minutes outside of the town.
  • There is very little that is walkable from the property so you should plan to stay on site or book taxi to go anywhere.
  • The stone walls echoed and there was an obnoxious group of cyclists in from the states and they were very loud morning and night. The hotel was also not close to public transportation and the hotels driver was extremely expensive. This hotel also charged for every bottle of water after the first night. I don’t appreciate paying for water at such an expensive hotel.
  • Had expected more flair in the small town.

Negative reviews

  • The air conditioning in the bedroom was slightly difficult to manage. Due to the adverse weather, the breakfast room was cold. I’m sure this will be rectified as it’s the hotel’s first season since it opened in July.
  • accessibility to town

Positive reviews

  • Great location, staff was incredible, very attentive.
  • Outstanding hotel in the center of the historical center of Lecce. Rooms were fabulous, breakfast was spectacular and the service immaculate. Within a short walking distance to most of what Lecce has to offer.
  • Parking in cities in Puglia can be very difficult. This hotel provides a parking service that made this so much easier. If you add that to the exceptional service and beautiful property it makes this hotel quite outstanding.
  • Perfect five star experience from breakfast (with violin plsying) through dinner.
  • Beautiful decor, amazing hospitality and staff

Negative reviews

  • Bathrooms were cold no heat and all the marble was very cold
  • Drive through ZTL was harrowing. Would have preferred gate meeting and shuttle to property.
  • Sadly, a building at the rear of the hotel was undergoing renovation – right outside our room – so we were awakened by drilling and hammering from 7am every morning. It would have been nice to have been warned beforehand or offered an alternative room, but I suspect that the hotel was full.
  • Our bathroom had a shower over a narrow and quite slippery bath …..a bit of an issue for us older folks !! We put a bath mat on the floor of the bath so as not to be so slippery.
  • Not fair price

Positive reviews

  • Wonderful property with outstanding service. We stayed at this masseria for a special birthday: everything was great, from our room to breakfast and amazing dinner. What made this place special was the staff and their friendly and professional service. We were made to feel like special guests from arrival to departure. I would definitely recommend and choose to visit again in the future.
  • Everything. It was absolutely beautiful!!! We hired a car but we actually didn’t leave the Masseria for 3 days because everything was so gorgeous. The pool is so great for a toddler with the shallow walk in entrance. The food is divine. The drinks were great. The staff were wonderful. The shuttle to the beach is great. For a hotel that’s so good with kids and with a little kiddie play area splash park, it felt so adult and so gorgeous.
  • Breakfast was amazing. The location perfect. High enough to see the ocean but surrounded by countryside.
  • The staff, The rooms the nature the beautiful design the atmosphere of the incredible Italian country side. To top it all Puglia’s beautiful weather and food and hospitality. My home away from home. Will be back for sure
  • Everything!

Negative reviews

  • Weather was very poor while we were there and there is very little to do at the property if it’s raining outside.
  • SPA is small and does not provide enough services for the hotel category
  • the music was too loud at the wedding
  • Pillow choice
Poco professionale

Positive reviews

  • Modern and fresh hotel with perfect position right between the new and old town centres of Gallipoli. Serviceminded staff and nice facilities with rooftop sun-terrace and little pool (though too cold for an October dip…). Buffet breakfast all good, tasty homebaked pastries stood out. Convenient parking for the car in-house and a surprisingly fantastic massage in the hotel spa.
  • It is a modern and more millennial designed and decorated hotel with all the gadgets. The location was exceptional, just at the bridge to go to historic part of the city. Parking was easily available for free right next to hotel along sea wall. The staff were very friendly and attentive. You get a free hour in the spa saunas which was relaxing. The rooftop pool had wonderful lounge chairs although cool once sun went behind other buildings in late October. The breakfast was hands down the best of our trip, it had everything and was plentiful. Made the value of the hotel even better. Would recommend and return here.
  • Fantastic modern hotel. Great location. Very helpful staff.
  • This was a very good hotel in an ideal location, being a short walk to Gallipoli's Old Town. We originally booked the hotel because it offered on-site parking and were then concerned when the parking was fully booked. But we needn't have worried, there is plentiful safe free parking near the hotel. The staff were excellent, as was the breakfast offer. Our room was hi-tech and very well appointed. The rooftop pool area was great, serving one of the best Club Sandwiches I've ever had. Our stay included one hour access to the Spa which was excellent.
  • Very clean and spacious rooms with great communication from staff.

Negative reviews

  • Interior design in common areas not modern enough to be exciting, but compensated by all positives.
  • The amount of mirrors everywhere in the room is a bit much. The tv built into the mirror is cool but was not a smart tv so there was no easy way to access Netflix for English programming
  • I could not take my 15 year old son to wellness, although nobody else were there.
  • Cost of spa other than free 1 hour included with reservation. €40 per hour per person is too expensive for such a small facility
  • Pool not heated. No view. No balcony on 1rst floor. A slight smell of pipes comming our of the sink occasionally.

Positive reviews

  • Amazing hotel and spa luxury plus. The bedroom was huge and the bed divine! The food was excellent. The best breakfast ever. The swimming pool beautiful. We were lucky to get the great offer and felt like royalty.
  • Splendid property, everything was excellent and excedeed our expectations. Special mention to the restaurant and the staff there, they are amazing! Also, while accomodation is on the very expensive side, the prices at the restaurant and bar were very reasonable and excellent for the quality and service
  • A tranquil and thoughtful facility. Design and landscaping inspired. Spa and pool area was hard to leave. The central location made it easy to explore Taranto and surrounding areas of interest. Highly recommended.
  • Spacious quality surroundings, historic blended with modern giving fabulous result.
  • Absolutely amazing place. Beautiful room, spa, pool, restaurants and grounds. All food was fantastic be breakfast, lunch or dinner. Booked one night. Loved it so much stayed a second. Lovely friendly and helpful staff.

Negative reviews

  • To be honest, we expected a lot more regarding the food. The breakfast selection is very poor and some variety would be nice. The food at the pool/ lunch was also not very delicious and you would expect some more effort from a 5 start hotel. The fries we ordered were just tasteless and soggy and the sandwich we ordered was very bad. Unfortunately, my husband and I left more than half of it, because it was not enjoyable at all. The only delicious thing would have been the pizza we had on pizza night. The pizza was very delicious.
  • Tiny things….. No Fresh orange juice at Breakfast Food menu by the pool a bit limited for us as vegetarians. No hotel bar for a drink in the evenings if you didn't want to venture in to Taranto or have a dinner at the hotel. Gym equipment a little dated.
  • Service and some basic amenities were left wanting. The room was very hot in September and we asked the air conditioning to be checked, which did not happen. I had to seek someone out several times at the pool to get towels. We had no kettle for tea. And some of the service was surly, which you don’t expect at a high end price point.
  • Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the overall service and vibe. There were very little guests staying; it was a ghost town during the day. Despite this, it took 50+ minutes to serve us lunch each day, even with being the only people to order food. We tried to get the waiters attention each time but they rush past ( despite having very little or no guests). This didn’t even give us an opportunity to discuss the poor service. They moved us into the restaurant due to rain one day and forgot to turn on the lights in there for 30 minutes 😅. I felt they had much younger day staff in attendance and they were more preoccupied with cleaning or doing tasks, than serving guests. The only good experience we received was when we ate in the restaurant one night. The service was superb. Booking.com does not make it clear that the spa is an additional charge. 95€ to sit in an array of pools is London prices so I was very shocked to find out the price, whilst already paying alot for the hotel room per night. This poor advertising is not the hotels fault but it started us off on a bad footing which unfortunately got worse. I would avoid this hotel. There is not much else to do in the area so if you’re not enjoying the hotel, there is nowhere to go…
  • The location, the road is awful and damaged our car. The breakfast was very mediocre and often everything was missing. The range and variety and service for the breakfast has to be better for the price and the overall hotel.

  • Beautiful hotel, well maintained, very nice and welcoming staff. The premise and surroundings are beautiful. Breakfast was rich including both sweet and savory, the hotel restaurant is lovely and there is a small spa with an inner pool for guests that we really enjoyed.
  • The staff was extremely warm, positive and extremely eager to help us. Moreover, the fine-dinning restaurant was delicious.
  • Clean and luxurious.
  • Everything was perfect, the staff were very nice, smiling, helpful! Perfect place! We will come back!
  • We loved the property, the pool, the spacious room and balcony. The staff were welcoming and very helpful! The area was beautiful and very peaceful with flowering trees and plants, stone walls, historic buildings, vineyards, olive groves and farms and a beautiful view of the sea. We enjoyed biking on the small winding roads( bikes were available from hotel!). It was a quick drive to Polignano. The breakfasts were incredible! Sunsets spectacular.

Negative reviews

  • The hotel feels a bit rusty.
  • Needs some upgrades. Furniture seems worn a bit.
  • A bit out of the way Need a car
  • I would expect the room to be a bit more fancy
  • Lunches left us hungry. I really enjoyed the dinners but it was challenging for vegetarian children as there weren’t so many options for them. The car service was very professional but I think next time we would hire a car for more flexibility.

  • The location was excellent and the facilities beautiful. The breakfast location was lovely but very hot in the morning. I would have liked more gluten free options at breakfast. The pool area was great.
  • Very friendly and supportive staff; good breakfast, including a combination of buffett and menu options.
  • Excellent all round, immaculate suite with beautiful furnishings, stunning views and fantastic food in the restaurant
  • The property is beautiful, with lovely gardens and surrounds. However the absolute best part of our stay was the staff, each one we encountered was professional, friendly and engaging! They were fun and pro-active and if we did want anything, they went the extra mile! Cooking class with Marco was great, Gosia kept us entertained (such a delight!), and along with Andric and the rest of the team made our stay perfect! 5 gold stars all the way!!
  • This property is dreamy ! We enjoyed a lot the place surrounded with olive trees , a lot of flowers and green plants. The sea view from breakfast and the top of the suite is so nice !

Negative reviews

  • The dinner options were limited I thought. We went into Castro to eat dinner on the second night for more options and choice for gluten free eating. The 'special' dinner on Friday night had limited eating options for me and so I felt it wasn't good value for money.
  • While the rooms are spacious, extremely clean and well appointed, we felt a little boxed in, however we didn’t spend a lot of time in our room so no big deal.
  • Access to the sea is only available in a public beach or in a private beach club, which was a bit disappointing.
  • The snack menu during the day could have a few more options, although the options that they did have were delicious. The pool could be a bit bigger and perhaps even have a second pool. There needs to be a gym indoors. There is an outdoor area to excersise which is pretty but its very hot and weights and a couple of machines woukd be very useful.
  • Access to the rooftop wasn’t clear and no shower in room.

  • The best breakfast and restaurant. Loved the spa facility. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
  • Very professional and friendly staff! Spacious room with nice sea view. Wallet parking.
  • Location, modern, service was excellent

Negative reviews

  • If you want to visit other areas, I would recommend getting a car. There are not many public transport options.
  • Parking is expensive
  • Overpriced and still charging 40euros for sauna, 80euros for e-bike … this is somehow standard in other pricey hotels. City was rather empty at this time of season, Otrante would be better choice as there is more attractions and restaurants.
  • Ants in my room, I made a mistake with the booking and accidentally added an extra day to my stay that I didn´t and couldn´t use and the hotel did nothing for me regarding that. We spent a lot of money at the facilities it would have been nice that let part of that additional night go towards that cost
  • Description on Booking.com does not match the reality (including bear walls in rooms & common areas). This hotel is not on 1st line for beach access, does not have basic amenities (e.g. iron for your clothes that you can borrow) and, in fact, all services are provided for extra cost, including access to beach club (to which you need to be taken by a golf cart) & spa access to zones that are normally included (e.g. sauna & steam room) in even 3* & 4* hotels. Overall, I refer you to my extensive review on Google maps, which demonstrates all of this in more detail and, instead of finding a way to show understanding and resolve the issues, Posia management instead threaten legal action for bad review, which is quite representative of the lack of basic respect for its paid customers.
