- Very nice hotel with amazing spa and good breakfast
- Great, very clean hotel with a fantastic breakfasts with never ending choices. Children liked the games prepared for guests in the lobby. We were happy of the stay and recommend for both short and longer stays.
- Frösön Park is the former Officers' Mess at the former Frösön Air Base. It has two fighter planes guarding the hotel as a reminder of its past. The hotel is newly renovated with spa, pool, and a good restaurant. All hotel guests have free access to the restaurant. It is close by the airport, but located lower than the runway so there is no noise from aircraft disturbing you. The rooms are spacious and quiet.
- Quiet, natural surroundings. Fine spa with a quiet area under the sky. Comfortable bedding. Modern breakfast with many healthy, tasty options, also for those with food intolerances. Staff is excellent. Should be a teaching facility for hoteliers!
- Location, comfortable room with a view, excellent food.
Negative reviews
- I forgot my toothbrush and I needed to pay for one time use one, I think the hotel can give it for free per request.
- Access to pool is not for free.
- We were on a road trip. First of all we chose this hotel because of its Spa, but when we came we found out that it was already closed (5 pm on Sunday). It was closed on Monday morning too. Dinner in the restaurant wasn't satisfying as well. There're just 5 positions in the main menu. Two of them are burgers, Cesar salad, pork and I don't remember the last one, but no fish, no beef. So if you want to eat some hot food you should choose among burgers and pork. So we had to take a car and go back to the city to eat. We didn't plan that because we traveled with two kinds (1,5 and 3y o) and we expected to relax without going anywhere for some time. The climate comfort system in our room didn't let us heat the room for more than 23⁰ so our kids were cold in the evening (we usually do 25⁰). On the other hand it was impossible to open any window so in the morning we all starved for some fresh air. Ventilation is really bad, air quality is like when you travel by ferry. Not acceptable for the hotel. The last thing we didn't like here is the staff. They are very kind in general but also so cold and distanced. Nothing was suggested to us instead of a closed spa. Nothing was suggested to us instead of a restaurant. No smile to kids. The next day of our stay (check out day) it was my birthday. No postcard even no "Happy birthday!" at reception, when my husband mentioned that. Everyone was formally polite that's it. I won't say that our stay was bad, but for this price you receive the way better service in Stockholm or any other place we've been to.
- SPA not discounted when booking a room. Ventilation in rooms is poor – CO2 1200ppm.
- Menu for evening meals did not really have much choice and through out the week did not change much?

- The hotel has an overall nice and cozy atmosphere with candles in the lobby and a beautiful and nice touch to the lobby and restaurant, and the staff is sweet and helpful. Very nice meals to order in the lobby. We travelled with our dogs and felt very welcome. There is also a nice walking route just accross the hotel.
- Enastående gott, fin ordning rent o snyggt.
Negative reviews
- The breakfast was a bit to the boring side. I had higher expectations. The pool area was very full, and it is a bit disgusting, that guests can eat (and leave old plates with food) in the pool area. The location appears on photos to be more 'in the middle of nature', than it actually is. It was ok, because I knew that beforehand, because I looked at Google Maps, but if you just look at the photos, that the hotel provided for Booking.com (and that they have on their website), you might be disappointed.
- Due to approaching bad weather we chose to shorten our stay. The fact that the hotel chose to charge us for the night we didn't use was very disappointing.
- Det var lite trångt i omklädningsrummet vid spa o bastun var inte varm
- Bad mangler gulvvarme. Lav servant, lavt toalett. Badet og rommet virket noe slitt.
- Kald lunken varmmat julebordet

- Kallt på rummet men det var -30 på natten så det var nog förklaringen.
- Wetterbedingt sehr eisig und der hartgefrohrene Schnee war ganz doof zum laufen. Kann aber keiner was dafür. Ausser Petrus vielleicht
- Det fanns inte dusch och toalett på rummen, utan detta var gemensamma i korridoren. Men det fungerade bra eftersom det inte var så många gäster denna kväll.
- Svak Wifi på rommet.

- The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to please. We were upgraded to a wonderful room.
- Good choice of gluten-free and lactose free breakfast.
- Great team very helpful and attentive. Personal touches such as making sure we had a packed breakfast with a personal message for our day. The hotel has obviously been recently refurbished and offers smart clean rooms.
- We loved EVERYTHING, starting with the wonderful welcome, the stunning room, breakfast was amazing, the owners made us the best breakfast bag to take on the early train with us, we can't rate this hotel high enough. Even the gluten free was catered for both for breakfast and dinner at night.
- Staffs reception was exceptional great. Very professional, approachable and excellent service. The breakfast bufe was very good. It's show the hotel pays attention to details and health. There was evidence to them catering for good nutritional value and paying detailed attention to people with food allergies.
Negative reviews
- Thicker toilet paper would have been good.
- A lift for luggage
- relatively dark room with a dark color of the walls and ceiling tiny space for luggage in a quite small double room
- The toilet of the room was small.
- I asked for a quiet room and was given one facing a busy street. The double glazing is so bad I might as well have had the window open. Lads in cars with stereo at maximum volume going past the window at 02:30am. People walking back from the centre at 3am clearly heard through the supposed double glazed window. NEVER stay there on a Friday or Saturday, may be OK other days. I had a long journey with no sleep the next day. No one asked if everything was OK when I left.

- They were really helpful and welcoming. The stay was pleasant. The room was spacious and located in main but which was both bonus but also annoying as you could hear people walking from an early morning.
- A charming 3* hotel with 5* service!! We enjoyed staying in your lovely hotel. Room was comfortable! The lounge/breakfast area had two wood burning stoves at either end, very comfortable place to sit and watch the Olympics. The dinner at the hotel was an absolute highlight. Wow!!! Cooking meat on a hot stone!! Amazing!!! Delicious!!! The Dinner was spectacular on many levels, including the location, deco, etc. Reservations a must! Many thanks for the warm Glühwein, it was perfect! We wish the staff all the best, and hope to return another time.
- Nice and cosy. Communal area with fireplaces really nice and comfortable.
- The place was extremely cozy and warm, staff was super friendly. And the view was amazing
- Everything! It was very cozy from our room to the common spaces. The breakfast has good quality and everything you need, and especially the restaurant cannot be missed. The atmosphere is warm and luxurious at the same time. Perfectly located for a skitrip, only 5 bus minutes from ski rental and lifts. Overall great, but the most special part was the friendliness and availability of all the staff, who we thank again for all help received!
Negative reviews
- It could do with good clean there was dust under the furniture and in the bathroom ( however I am aware that I have very high standards compared to to other people )
- Steep stairs to go up to the street level
- The cabin/stugor is outdated and needs renovation. The fridge in our cabin was broken. There were dirt and dust in several places in the cabin. The owner is very rude whenever we spoke with him on the phone.

- Peaceful and quiet, a great place to stay with a dog.
- The food was good
- Great location in the middle of Funäsdalen, close to activites, restaurants and shops. Comfy beds and adequate equipped rooms. Free parking right infront of the hotel.
- Reception staff exceptional in helping get the most from our stay including best places to visit
- The room was pleasant and clean and with comfortable beds. The location to the very helpful neighbouring ski-hire shop was brilliant. There's a small weightlifting room, and a drying room where you can place your skis overnight. Next to reception was a cosy area with a wood burning fireplace. Staff were very helpful but reserved. It is possible to access cross-country skiing routes and one of the lifts directly from the hotel. There is an excellent historic museum in town with a fascinating outdoor section showing how houses were constructed in the old days. Buses run a few times a day to Ramundberget which is much more touristy, but the only place where you can have ski lessons. There is a super craft shop nearby where you can buy good quality Swedish designed gifts to take home.
Negative reviews
- Service There were too few tables for breakfast, you had to wait for a table. the window in the room was very difficult to close after opening, a bit tiring in the middle of the night 🙂
- Breakfast could have been better stocked, a lot of items finished and took a bit too long to get refilled.
- – online check-in didn't work well: first of all, a lot of information is required (a) about the main and b) any additional gutest (don't quite understand the level of detail required for additional guests.. other hotels in Sweden didn't even need to see their ID card!), c) a credit card is required, even though we had already paid in full, d) the card then even had to be authenticated); Secondly, I had to start with filling out the information over and over again because the dropdowns (for nationality, identification method etc) didn't open and just showed blank! Filled in info, came to dropdown – blank, thus had to reload the site. Opened dropdown first, all good – filled in the info, came to second dropdown – same issue, thus reloading page again. In the end, I filled in all the dropdowns first before I put all the other information, which then finally worked – additionally, they say how quick check-in will be if you do online check-in – well, we still had to wait 15 minutes because there was only 1 member of staff at the reception and the 4 guests in front us took ages checking in.. so no time saved at all. Could have e.g. establish a separare area for those who had already done online check-in to just hand out the keys (just like other hotels have dedictated areas for their loyality membership program members) – thr room indeed is very small – you can't fit any suitcase besides the beds (not even small hand lagguage ones), so we had to put our two middle sized suitcases in front of thr door; if the chair hadn't been there, there would have been space for 1 suitcase (not sure why there's one chair in this tiny room, you would sit on the bed and not the chair (since there's anyway no table))
- Whilst the view from the restaurant over the lake is wonderful, the menu was very limited. They really need two more dishes for people staying longer as we did. It was also very cold in the dining area – wear a chunky jumper! It's possible to buy food from the supermarketer and the hotel offers a tiny kitchen with microwave where you can prepare something simple. The weight lifting room could benefit from some lower weights – nowadays, women lift weights too! I thought the cost of the room was too high by comparison to other places we have stayed in Sweden.
- Despite reminding staff every day, during my 11 day stay our room was only cleaned 3-4 times, and when it was, the bed was not even made (!!!??) and bathroom barely cleaned. Really poor and way below expectations given price level! We never got the TV to work properly during the stay and nobody could or would help us. Dining food in restaurant was a 6 out of 10. Very pricy but nothing particular. Same meny for all 11 days with 4-5 options + a special. There is literally no where else to eat in the village (try to avoid the Bröderna hamburger bar) other than the hotel's restaurant so you are 100% dependent on it during your stay. The young staff in reception was rather unfriendly, with one or two exceptionals. There was a recreation room with a broken ping-pong table and broken rackets to go with it, but besides that there is very little to do at hotel and older kids will very quickly go bored. Better to stay at Ramundberget, Hamra or Bruksvallarna.

- Good breakfast
- Good location. Nice staff. Good breakfast
Negative reviews
- that there was no food available in the evening
- Breakfast seating area was dirty. In our room, the wall behind the toilet was covered in fingerprints from previous male occupants who used the wall as a balance when using the toilet. It clearly had not been wiped/disinfected in a long time. Quite unacceptable. I took photographs and showed a member of staff.
- It was in July and with a lot of sunshine and outside temperatures reaching 28-30°C, air conditioning was badly missed. Our room was on the western side of the hotel (odd numbers) and was very hot in the afternoon and evening (and very dark as we had to draw the curtains) and even the breakfast/dinner room was unpleasantly hot around dinner time.
- The absence of an elevator, I never travel light.
- Breakfast was poor, not too much of a choice if counting that was payed 80€ fot one nigh.

- Didn't notice any decent ventilation system or air-conditioning. When we were there the temperature outside was about +20°, and it was quite uncomfortable to stay in and sleep due to the heat. I'm afraid to imagine what it was like at +30°.
- The Shover battery should have been serviced a little or replaced even…
- There was buggs I the bed.
- At counter, they told me only available room is a pet room. When i denied, after a while she said oh i found one. It was night. Morning i found out it was a pet room with a dog hair all around.
