- The staff were amazing at The Old Bank Hotel. Made us feel very welcome from setting a sign to reserve a parking space to the personal touches throughout our stay. This includes writing a personal note congratulating us on our 20th wedding anniversary. The room was spotless and the attention to detail was amazing. The view to the University Church of St Mary's to the front was stunning.
- Great design and location
- Location was excellent. Views were beautiful over the rooftops of Oxford. Bed was extremely confortable with lovely sheets and great smellies. Free parking was a bonus!
- Location really central. Staff really friendly and helpful. Phoned a week before to see if we needed parking and reserved it for us.
- Excellent location, friendly staff, comfortable room, free parking, lovely restaurant.
Negative reviews
- Being central location, and an old building (which I assume is listed), it is busy on the main street to the front of the hotel. Vehicle noise (buses, taxi's etc.) and pedestrians returning passing by in the early hours after a good night were heard. I have to emphasis this is not the hotels fault but if you wish for a quite evening then ask for a room not overlooking the main road to the front of the hotel.
- Adding a service charge to the bill on departure sneaky.
- Breakfast not as good as we had hoped for the price.
- Was a bit tight turning into the car park in a big car
- Pillows were very soft

- Lovely property, clean new bathrooms and gorgeous grounds that we wish we had more time to explore. The young man at check in was extremely helpful – he helped us carry our suitcases up to our room. Please note that there is lift to rooms. The restaurant was awesome and after a day of sightseeing we truly enjoyed our meal.
- A beautiful hotel in an awesome setting
- Super nice venue! Beautiful! Polite staff, clean cosy rooms, and great breakfast!
- First time staying at the Weston Manor after visiting Bicester a few times and staying at different hotels. The hotel is beautiful and a little bit special. We had a junior suite and it was amazing, whirlpool bath, robes etc. For such an old building the rooms were very warm and comfortable. Staff were exceptional and breakfast amazing. Just a 5 minute drive from Bicester outlet village and 20 mins into Oxford City Centre. We will definitely be returning.
- Beautifull place, renovated recently
Negative reviews
- There was a lack of clarity about the type of beds we booked, we were verbally assured we booked a twin room however we got a double instead . A large bottle of water in the room would be great. Pack lightly as you’ll have to carry your suitcases to your room.
- We had room 2 which was above kitchen area. Way to noisy for light sleeper
- The lighting in the bedroom could have been a bit darker (for ambience) as the lamps were a bit too bright- but otherwise the room was perfect.
- I felt dinner in the restaurant was way overpriced, especially given the extremely limited choice. The wine was also very expensive and poor value. I would be unlikely to dine in again.
- No lift access to room

Negative reviews
- The bathroom had harsh lighting , and old black and white lino , so wasn't relaxing .
- No fridge in room. No-one on reception when we arrived – but there wasn't much of a wait.
- Water … Water was provided but it would be nice if there was double the amount.
- All was ok just the shower pressure a little weak

- Great location – located in the middle of the areas we wanted to visit. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Mollies diner was great for food.
- Very well designed. Room was clean, and comfortable. Dyson hairdryer and GHD straighteners were a welcome addition as well as streaming to tv
- The beds, the toiletries, the coffee, the charging points in the car park, the staff – everything!
- The rooms are of a high standard – and the staff are excellent
- Clean, fresh, and modern luxury feel, loved the chilled and boiling water dispenser in the corridor..
Negative reviews
- I couldn’t really fault but would say nowhere to walk locally from hotel.
- The straighteners and hair dryer didnt work in our room
- I do wish there was a lift!
- Accessible room was actually difficult to get into as there was a lip at the door, so I got stuck getting in the room when in my wheelchair. Nowhere to really put things eg no shelves, hooks to hang things, no shelf in shower to put toiletries etc. The rooms were also very dark, the dim lighting is great for night time when you want to chill but when you want to get ready for the day it’s really hard under low lighting to see. Also found the hotel itself difficult to get through all the doors as a wheelchair user, wouldn’t be able to get to my room from reception without support of my partner/a staff member opening/holding open the doors for me.
- The bathroom was looking a little worn. When we flushed the toilet, the water continued running and we had to fiddle with the button before it eventually stopped. The drains were also quite smelly.

- The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast choices were great
- It was clean, modern and close to where I had to be the following day
- Location – next to Bicester Village (10-15 min walk) and next to the Bicester Park and Ride bus stop for the bus to/from Oxford (4 min walk). Croissants at breakfast were divine! Coffee was great. Bedroom was streamlined and devoid of clutter. Bed was very comfortable. Very good choice at breakfast. Good that the staff get to enjoy the breakfast buffet as soon as guests are finished.
- This was a great location for our meet up, it’s only 5 minutes from the motorway and close to Bicester Village. The staff were incredibly attentive and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was great with a large, hot, powerful shower. I had forgotten my toothbrush but they provided one with no issues! Breakfast was lovely- there was plenty of variety and it was stocked up well.
- Comfortable bed and great shower
Negative reviews
- There was a drainage smell in the room but once I reported it staff came immediately to fix the problem
- Breakfast was limited
- no free parking
- Bathroom smelt of sewage pipes in the walls
- People with barking dogs in rooms next to ours.

- Very professional staff, clean room, comfortable bed.
- The staff were all so helpful and friendly as soon as we arrived.
Negative reviews
- Had to pay £12.50 for parking. Room was £119 so saved a bit by skipping breakfast and bought few items from the supermarket for breakfast
- Bathroom bit cold
- Pillows! Horrible soft pointless pillows and no spare as in other hotels
- Tea bags not topped up.
- People in the bar area with a very smelly dog, it wasn't a nice experience. The shower pressure was not as expected

- The hotel was exceptional. Staff very helpful and attentive
- Very good facilities and efficient staff
- It’s stunning staircase and entrance hall. The ambiance and the location. The breakfast in The Alice was excellent. The Morse bar is stunning.
- Great service, location, breakfast and spa!
- Superb hotel. Luxury and grand!! Staff friendly and helpful. Service – tip top!
Negative reviews
- The shower did not heat up for an enjoyable shower, the room was extremely warm which could not be controlled with the thermostat
- Hot water took over ten minutes to heat up in bathroom. Then end of the stay was spoilt by taking a deposit which I was not told about and overcharging for breakfast. When I discovered this on checking out I was told it would be refunded immediately. It has not and I have been told to keep waiting.
- I had to call housekeeping and request that our rooms be made up on both days. No turn down service , in one room ( room 163) there was a terrible odour in the bathroom like sewers. The shower was difficult to use and the shower tray would fill with water when using it. Our rooms were supposed to be disability accessible but were far away from the reception and we had to climb stairs.
- Bedroom too hot and no controls, difficult to get air in through window. No choice on menu for gluten free items for evening meal.
- As we were staying for our wedding, we had hoped for some small acknowledgement of the occasion. On the morning of the wedding, I literally walked out of our room and across the road to the ceremony venue in my bridal dress, but the only acknowledgement of the occasion was a brief "enjoy the wedding" when we checked-in. I completely appreciate that special touches are not guaranteed and I wasn’t expecting anything extravagant. However, given the significance of the occasion and the cost per night, a small gesture would have gone a long way. This was particularly noticeable when compared with my partner’s stay at Malmaison in Oxford the night before the wedding, where he received a complementary bottle of Champagne and rose petals laid out on the bed. The Randolph is so beautiful, but given the price, we were left feeling like something was missing.

- This Inn is in a small village near Banbury, we arrived on a Sunday night so no catering but we had asked for a cold platter which is what we got: meat from the Sunday roast, cheese and bread, excellent. The rooms are nice, weirdly the bathroom occupies half of the allocated space, not something I would personally do. The windows which overlook a courtyard with tables are small and high up. The lighting was good, the television had Netflix and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is ordered the night before and was fine. Staff was helpful, thank you Kirsty
- The property is a lovely old pub and brings a very cozy atmosphere whilst enjoying amazing food and a lovely pint. But also lovely and cozy in the room. The bed was very comfy and gave us a great nights sleep.
- Fabulous country pub. Authentic. Great food. Wine list good but expensive. Rooms very comfortable and cosy.
- It was very cosy and the staff were very friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in until departure
- Beautiful rooms, quite cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing!
Negative reviews
- In the summer, it would be sad to be in a room with no view and giving straight onto a beer garden would be noisy until the pub closed
- Poor staff.
- This time wasn’t quite so amazing as the first – the luxurious bath products had been removed from the bathrooms and the breakfast was not great for us (we are both coeliac and the breakfast was below par; no gluten free bread or gluten free options).
- Details were overlooked especially when you consider the cost of staying. Some lights were out of action. Some had dead bulbs. No soap or body wash in the shower.
- Bedroom was very hot – even with the heating off and it was December!

- Excellent weekend. Entertainment and food top level. Really enjoyed the one price for all.
- Breakfast was really good with fresh and good quality ingredients. The grounds and hotel were well maintained and easy to navigate. Overall it was a calm and relaxing stay.
- Beautifully decorated and clean and modern.
- Spa was beautiful!
- Beautiful hotel and gardens. Food was of a high standard. Spa was lovely and I had the most relaxing treatment I’ve ever had from Jordan. The added touch of the evening entertainment in the theatre and late lounge was an added bonus!
Negative reviews
- The room could have benefited from a coffee table to sit by. Dinner we went elsewhere as there were limited options for our dietary needs. It would have been good to have the ability to plug in an HDMI cable into the TV or use casting to be able to watch content from our phones without having to use screen mirroring. A 7am fire alarm test on our first night was not the best way to start a relaxing break!
- Prices of drinks.
- Wasn't hot
- Room smelt from drains. Only one towel on first night. 2nd night room not cleaned. Entertainment was not as good as it normally is. Felt prices had increased but standards slipped . App not great
- Someone said “if they had this many people why did they give half the staff the weekend off”! Which was our main gripe. The staff that were there were lovely but it was badly understaffed and under managed!! I didn’t like how you had to book your breakfast and dinner weeks ahead to get the time and restaurant of your choice and listening to others grumbling I was not the only one. Long delays in waiting for service but to be fair when the food arrived it was excellent. Our standard room was very small and stiflingly hot with no air conditioning.

- I liked the general ambience and decir of the hotel.
- Great breakfast and nice countryside surroundings. Staff on the front desk couldn't have been more helpful
- The staff were all lovely
- Comfortable bed. Sufficient plug sockets including next to the bed (for CPAP machine I have to use). Bar and restaurant onsite. Plenty of choice , tasty food, though somewhat expensive. Attentive servers. Magnifying shaving mirror. Enough chairs in room.
- Very nice hotel. Rooms are a good size and comfortable. The food is excellent.
Negative reviews
- A warm bathroom and bedroom. At dinner, my Salade Nicoise was bland and unimaginative.
- The cold. The room was very cold when we arrived. No one had put the heating ready for us. The bathroom had no form of heating and so was not a pleasure to use.
- Room felt tired and not spotless
- I was in a room that wasn’t accessible by lift and far from bar gym etc
- The bathroom was cold and rather dark. Tip over sink plug jammed and we had to wait for receptionist to attack it with a large screwdriver, after second request. This is a known problem and should be fixed. Fortunately it was at 5.30pm not late at night. Awkward negotiating double front doors with suitcases, also the outer door to rooms.
