- Beautiful Property extremely clean in an excellent walkable location to everywhere in Quebec! The staff was amazing! The breakfast was fantastic!
- Near to everything you need , excellent restaurant and piano bar, excellent customer service , room is well decorated , big and cozy
- The hotel is in a great location, close to all that you need and easy to find. Our room was comfortable and the bed was too. The greeting at reception was very nice and we didn't have to wait too long for our room upon arrival. There are a couple of seating areas but no bar or cafe service until later in the day which seems to be the norm in Quebec which we don't understand so we went across the road to the Irish Bar until our room was ready.
- Great location. Clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Located withing walking distance to attractions, great restaurants, and bars.
- The whole hotel was impeccably clean and new like. Super comfortable bedding. Spacious room and bathroom/shower area. Unique decor and friendly staff. Feels like you are inside a piece of art rather than a hotel. Central location to everything in old Quebec. We were 2-10 minutes walk from all the places we wanted to visit. Good breakfast and dinner at their own restaurant. Wonderful, friendly staff. I would stay there again and recommend it to my friends and family.
Negative reviews
- The shower temperature could have been warmer but that is a minor issue
- Limited hotel menu
- They can do better with breakfast.
- Bed was too soft
- The TV was advertised as having Chromecast and Netflix but neither were working/available. My husband told the front desk but the way the "fixed" the Chromecast, it didn't work. As for Netflix, it wasn't available at all.

- Very helpful concierge and reception staff
- Great bar and restaurant.
- Both location and breakfast were great. Room was very clean and spacious, perfect for our family. The bathroom was perfect also. Swimming pool was great for entertainment, water was a bit cold.
- Beautiful hotel. Well maintained. The staff were amazing.
- Room was great
Negative reviews
- Room was amazing. 5 stars
- Communication could have been much better but the staff did their best and helped us with a great stay.
- The mini bar was completely empty! Common Covid finished 3 years ago…. I his is the Ritz!
- The property is seasoned. You have to bump up the heater to levels beyond what you set at home to feel comfortable. The breakers to the room tripped during our stay. The pillows were very substandard for a hotel of this caliber.
- There was no lounge are in the lobby. There really should be a place to sit and relax or talk that’s not in your room. We tried to sit in an area that us the bar area at night and, even though they weren’t serving, we were told we were not permitted to sit there. I would not choose this property on my next visit to Montreal.

- The service was impeccable!
- Room was upgraded to the loft type and fireplace. It had 1 and a Half baths, a very comfortable king bed and soft linens, blackout curtains, spacious bathroom with a claw foot tub, well thought out closet and storage. The breakfast was excellent with an egg station and very nice hot chocolate especially a treat on the winter months. Stayed for four days and never felt closed in. Restaurant and Valet service was on point. Concierge services were outstanding and they went out of their way to help us get into a private curling club to get some fun and experience. Auberge Saint Antoine raises the bar.
- We LOVE this hotel. The service from the minute you arrive is impeccable. Matthew who valeted our car and assisted with bags is amazing! The front desk staff is friendly and professional. Our room was a very nice size, very clean and comfortable. The heated floors in the bathroom are lovely. Turn down service every evening with a card indicating the weather for the next day was really nice. Breakfast is so good! The lobby and the bar are comfortable. We have stayed several different places in Quebec City but keep coming back to St. Antoine and will be our go-to from now on.
- Clean. Classy. Not pretentious Excellent location
- Breakfast was excellent. So many choices. Perfect service.
Negative reviews
- Dinner wasn't good, and overpriced
- Maybe the pillows were a little to firm? There wasn't much not to like.
- Room toilets were unusual ( all functions were operated by controller). Temperature control was difficult at best with radiators and cold air vents
- Staff at Artifact could have served better.
- Construction on the roof on top of my room (208)around 7am i could not sleep and its getting worse by 9am until I checked out but my friend’s room(204) has nothing. My wooden bed frame is not steady and squeaking every time I move. We order some oysters and cod crudo. Oyster was horribly not fresh the meat was black and stink I couldn’t believe they serve clients with that quality oyster. I Talked to waiter he offer to change fresh oysters. New oysters platter came which look much better than the first oysters but I tried 3 of them and they were all stink and an edible. I had to spit out and my friends agreed they’re all bad. Cod crudo was also very fishy we also had to return.

- Most amazing service
- Beautiful property in the heart of everything.
- We have been travelling for a couple of weeks across America and Canada. This was the most modern accomodation we have stayed in but done in a very elegant way. The gym facilities have been the best out of all the 5 star hotels we have stayed at. Staff were incredibly helpful.
- Great location and staff.
- Excellent and very accommodating staff
Negative reviews
- I got food poisoning
- Issues with the pool
- Smart TVs with apps (such as Netflix) installed would be great.
- Room itself was not exceptional for a property with the reputation of the 4 Seasons
- Mattresses are too soft, even when firmer is added. If you have spine problems they can exacerbate disc issues.

- Right in the middle of old Quebec and convenient for Carnival.
- This very pretty boitique hotel is in a great location in Old Quebec. We loved the fireplace (real wood!!!) and the cozy sitting lounge. There are a few cozy nooks and crannies off the welcome area. There is a coffee/latte/cappucino machine available all day in lobby plus an in-room coffee maker plus kettle. The staff are friendly knowledgeable, and helpful. The paid parking is right at the hotel and convenient to access car whether you just need to quickly grab an item or exit for a few hours. HINT : It made it easier if you have 2nd set of keys; the attendant keeps a set and we had our set to access car. Our room was large and attractive. Our bathroom had separate bath tub and shower. It is not a large hotel, so no long noisy hallways. This is a small hotelier chain and they take pride in the affordable luxury that they offer. Really a gem.
- Breakfast was delicious and I liked that we didn’t get the same thing every morning
- Location was excellent and staff were wonderful. The room was spacious and well appointed
- Reception staff were excellent, restaurant recommendations provided were appreciated and accurate Breakfast was great value and varied each day Availability of fresh water and free coffee was appreciated
Negative reviews
- Ice machine was only available in the basement.
- Single elevator was very slow.
- Noisy room, mattress needs replacing.
- Breakfast offering was too expensive for the offerings. Should have been able to pick items for separate prices not 20 some dollars
- It was mostly my fault for not asking for a room on a higher floor. On the 1st floor, on the back of the building, the view out was of the parking lot and some very dreary buildings. That, of course, is not the fault of the hotel. One other thing, the bathroom was quite small and tight for two, with bad lighting, nevertheless, was well appointed.

- Very, very, very good hotel
- Staff were lovely. Immaculate hotel. Great facilities. Fridge in room and some rooms have kitchenettes. Was perfectly placed for our trip as we did not want to be too central. Good access to Uber so getting anywhere was easy. Will definitely return when we visit Montreal in the summer.
- Friendly, funny, pleasant front desk, bar, and room personnel, manager is wonderful, and hotel is new and beautiful. Great experience.
- Fabulous hotel. Amazing staff, beautiful rooms, delicious food and drinks at lobby bar. I so happy to stay here. Top 1 rank for this hotel. Thank you very much to all staff. See you in a future.
- Amazing hotel!!! Beds were superbly comfy and the bedding was so soft and plush. Exceptionally immaculate room, bathroom, everything new and fresh, and all throughout the hotel the whole environment was spotless. Staff were very kind and helpful – each person who works there was so personable. The shower was awesome – great water pressure and two shower heads. Daily room service was so nice to have – tidy and perfect in every way. In room coffee machine was a Nespresso. Mini fridge, a great TV, very modern/pretty decor. Free parking was the icing on the cake. This hotel was a relaxing gem. About 15 mins drive into downtown Montreal – well worth being a little outside the action to have such a clean, lovely, and convenient place to stay (and easily park).
Negative reviews
- Very quiet
- Lighting for make up is poor. Light from far above in bathroom and in room don’t help. Did men design the lighting? Had to buy extra suction cup mirror for light from the window.
- My choice of reasonably priced wine was unavailable with no substitute which means that I ended up purchasing the considerably higher priced wine. Also, & most importantly, there were no alcohol free options other than water for my adult guests.
- No complimentary breakfast
- I did not like that the bathroom did not have an exhaust fan or even a switch to turn it on.

- Great location, beautiful hotel, nice staff and clean and comfortable. It’s about two block away from a whole street full of restaurants. The hotel bar was really nice too!
- Le Capitole Hotel is a beautiful property with an excellent location. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and always willing to help. I highly recommend visiting the bar, it offers a wonderful atmosphere and a truly upscale experience. The room was amazing, comfortable, and well-appointed. Without a doubt, Le Capitole Hotel is an excellent choice.
- Loved it. Amazing room with a beautiful full view of the city.
- The hotel was beautiful! Such amazing views and we were actually upgraded to a king room! the rooms are gorgeous and super spacious with tall ceilings. Tons of lounge areas and the gym/pool was really nice. The location is also great. Near a bunch of shops/restaurants and an short 10-15 minute walk to the main area of Old Quebec.
Negative reviews
- Nothing very happy
- Phone didn't work, told the front desk. Next day the phone still didn't work!! Espresso Coffee maker. I like coffee, not espresso coffee
- Couldn't change the temp of the room but it wasn't that big of a deal. The bathroom also lacked some basic amenities I usually spot in other hotels that are less than 5 stars, so I was a bit surprised by that (lack of toothpaste, mouthwash, shower gel and hand soap being the same soap and placed by the sink making it inconvenient to use in the shower).
- A breakfast restaurant with speedy options would be fantastic.
- The room is not worth the price size wise and we were located towards the back of the hotel so we could hear people rummaging through the garbage and throwing bottles into the bin at all hours of the night.

- Dog friendly Helpful staff Very good service at restaurants
- Incredible service – everyone was very attentive. I had a medical issue during my stay in Quebec and the staff was very thoughtful about it and even send me a "get better" card along with a bottle of champagne – that I could not drink (but the gesture was lovely!). Additionally, I wanted to practice my French and everyone was very kind and engaged in a conversation. And obviously the property itself is impressive from a historical and architectural angle. The breakfast buffet was lovely with a wide spread of food. Also had lunch, which I found very tasty. Overall, a great experience!
- Location was amazing and the hotel is a genuine landmark; rooms were well appointed and nicely updated. We had dinner at Bistro SAM, which was great (had a fantastic cocktail!) Front desk staff were excellent and able to accommodate an earlier than expected check in.
- The professionalism and friendliness of the staff was palpable. Everyone was so kind and helpful. And what a lovely surprise to be upgraded to such a beautiful suite. The bed was as comfortable as a cloud. Breakfast was delightful with delicious selections including crêpes, waffles, omelettes, and the best scrambled eggs I have ever had. The dessert array of petite fours was devine- what you would expect from a find dining establishment. Even our view was exciting— in the middle of winter it was cool watching the sunrise while ice floated along the St. Lawrence river! I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be back! Thank you for a memorable experience.
- Quebec is a magical city and the Chateau made it even more so!
Negative reviews
- Bathrooms too small
- Very minor observation: it's a big and popular hotel — so the lobby gets incredibly busy — there was hardly any seating in the lobby area. I imagine this is by design but would have been nice to have a few additional resting spots as we were waiting for others in our party.
- Only one complaint was that the toilet was a bit cramped space wise. Other than that, the accommodations were spectacular.
- Room smelled musty, pillow quality could be better, noisy heating system which kept waking me up. Overpriced breakfast for the quality of food. Overcrowded pool and hot tub.
- The price is expensive, but if you can fit it in your budget even for 1 night it is worth it.

- still waiting for the Jacuzzi to be repaired
- parking its too much expensive , not making sence at all paying a parking like 50,60$ a night .
- The terrace with the hot tub was closed. There was no warning of this before booking. It is confusing how the heat is supposed to work since the AC was all the time “on”.
- Lifeguard at pool said my daughter couldn’t wear a tshirt and shorts (as she is self conscious) to swim and I didn’t appreciate that/or agree if that is a hard “rule.” Hotel restaurant breakfast food was okay not great
- Room carpets could be cleaned it was dirty
