- Everything was perfect👌
- Beautiful location, exceptionally clean facilities and wonderful staff. The service was wonderful
- The facilities – including the grounds – were more than adequate for the number of guests. The service quality delivered by the staff was outstanding across the board.
- This was our 3rd trip to Cape Of Senses, and our 2nd time this year. The staff are always exceptional. Friendly, welcoming, and always very professional. They are really what makes this place so special. We had two excellent evening meals in the restaurant, and breakfast was great. Facilities are top class. Looking forward to coming back again next year.
- This was my second time at Cape Of Senses. It didn't disappoint. Staff were as excellent on this occasion as they were the last time we visited. Friendly, welcoming, and very professional. And they work incredibly hard! I can't rate the hotel highly enough. It is immaculately clean and beautifully finished. The rooms are faultless, and the housekeepers clearly keep them in top condition. There have been big improvements made in the restaurant since our last visit. We ate there on 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed, and found the food to be excellent. Hoping to visit again later this year.
Negative reviews
- There is nothing negative about this property
- Only location away from downtown
- The AC is very weak and it will be challenging in summer. It was colder outside, so I opened the window every night. Lovely place to go back to when the weather is cold.
- The only small inconvenience was the difficulty driving there on very narrow roads w hairpin turns & a bit complicated road system (and I've driven before in Siciliy). Also, they just didn't seem to want us to have more large pillows. I asked twice & got 2 little puny ones.
- Food options for international travel should be considered.

- Čistoća apartmana,ljubazno i susretljivo osoblje

- Right from the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make this a delightful stay. They even gave us a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. Comfy beds, delicious food, and wholesome people.
- Everything, especially the way we were greeted and felt welcome.
- Very pleasant family run hotel. Nice rooms, excellent restaurant and wine list. It would have been a lesser experience if the owner wasn’t there to help out a few niggles – like ensuring our kids could eat earlier. Would very much return.
- Beautiful old house in a wonderful park. Excellent breakfast.
- Excellent and healthy Breakfast. Super quality, caring staff, lots of choices, superb view. They have started with upgrading our room to suite without any additional fee. Everyday cleaning and towel changes. Restaurant was taken care by owner himself. Set up a high quality dinner and lunch according to our wishes. Very caring to our Kids. I felt super happy with the choice.
Negative reviews
- Restaurant could have more meat and pasta on the menu, now too much fish and seafood.
- For a five star hotel, one would expect water kettle and coffee machine in the room… Also, jakuzzi bath tub didn't work in the suite..
- Pool was not opened yet although it was early May…
- One toaster for breakfast is by far insufficient
- The room smelled a bit musty and the breakfast was not up to expectations.

- The staff are all so kind and can’t do enough for you, the facilities are brilliant and the location is ideal – right on the ski slopes & only 10 minutes from Cortina town. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service into town which was very convenient.
- The spa is beautiful, it was the perfect set up after a log day of skiing.
- The food is amazing, you get 4 courses each night as well as a buffet.
- Service, spa, food, location, clean Perfect
- Very fine stay, nice staff, excellent dining and good live music in bar
Negative reviews
- Nothing really to dislike. Just that we would have like they had an outdoor heated pool which most 5 star mountain hotels have. Its nothing more healthy and mind healing than swimming breathing fresh mountain air. We would like to come back but please find another DJ 🙂 It was the most awkward music we ever had for a New Years Eve party. Anyway, thank you for everything!
- It was a bit overpriced compared to other places we stayed in a bit further away but that is typical of the location as the demand is high.
- At breakfast some tables are apparently reserved for certain rooms. This is not marked on the table nor does anyone greet you at the entrance to explain this. We got moved after sitting down the first morning. It was a bit hard to get the attendant’s attention during breakfast.
- Dining was a bit confusing. There was a pre-set menu every night (included if you booked it or €45/pp + drinks) which was good and the buffet was amazing (€30/pp or included with the set menu). There appeared to be some off menu items available that weren’t explained, or maybe it was just a special requests being accommodated because they really did try to accommodate any ask!

- As someone who travels frequently across the globe, I can confidently say that the Grand Hotel Savoia Cortina d'Ampezzo sets a new gold standard for 5-star service. I have stayed in many luxury hotels worldwide, but I have never encountered a team quite like this. From the meticulous housekeeping staff and the professional spa therapists to the welcoming reception and the helpful valet team, the level of training and genuine care is exceptional. A special mention must go to the evening restaurant team. Even if you arrive feeling tired or bored, the waiters have a remarkable talent for lifting your spirits and making you feel truly happy to be there. Their energy and professionalism completely transform the dining experience. Congratulations to the entire team for the incredible work you do. Please stay focused on this path to maintain these extraordinary standards. It will be a true joy to return to you soon!
- Lovely property comfortable rooms great pool and spa. Attentive service and great breakfast. Great views and centrally located for shops.
- We really enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel Savoia. The staff was exceptional. Very friendly and accommodating. The location was great – 5 mins walk from the city center (shops, restaurants). Nice gym, pool and spa. Great food especially the outdoors grill.
- Fantastic location and great facilities. The staff were amazing and super friendly and helpful
- The staff was terrific. Special mention for Marta at the front desk and Sergio and Luca in the lounge. They made our trip memorable and special. Thank you all.
Negative reviews
- Too far and steep to walk for any of the ski lifts and the hotel transfers were not complimentary which would have been nice for such an expensive hotel. Factor in cost of €80 euro a day for a ten minute journey there and back if you want them . Evening menu limited. Not much to do for non skier at this resort.
- The fact that a 5 star hotel with those high rates doesn’t have AC in the rooms is very disappointing and unacceptable , at least they should mention it before confirming our bookings. Not having air conditioning in the rooms affected our quality of sleep, mood and the overall experience. The temperature was above 30 celsius outside, and the rooms had no air whatsoever, opening the windows is possible but the area has a lot of mosquitos and the windows are without screens, so good luck sleeping.
- I was surprised that they would charge for eggs at a hotel of this price and category
- We found it was cumbersome and expensive to get to the main ski slope (Tofana). There is no shuttle and the public bus is unreliable (we waited 40 minutes one day) and extremely full when it does come. We ended up paying hundreds of Euros in transfers that the hotel called for us. To get a transfer you have to go to the concierge desk, you can't call it from the ski room.
- Our mornings were ruined by the massive amount of unruly children. They would start jumping off the bed and throwing tantrums at 6am and made what would have been a very nice breakfast, chaotic and loud. In the US we have these family hotels, called The Great Wolf Lodge, designed for kids. It felt like we were staying at one of those. Like many hotel in the Dolomites, they do not have air conditioning. It would have been ok, if we could have kept the windows open, but they had a fire going outside of our room most days and we had to shut it to keep our room from smelling of smoke and at night the room filled with tiny black flying insects. This is a larger issue with the region itself, but with climate change, it's getting warmer and warmer and not having AC in the rooms made sleeping difficult (especially with the jumping/screaming children at 6am). We were exhausted by the time our stay was over. We had a very unpleasant experience at dinner. We reserved a table and went down early to have a cocktail at the bar. When I arrived, they showed me where my table would be and we went to have our drink. When it was time for our reservation, our table had been given away and the only table they had to offer us was directly across from the piano singer. It was too loud to eat next to. I asked about our table, which I had been shown earlier, and they said that they had more people come for dinner and they thought since we were in the bar, we wouldn't mind the piano noise. The manager was incredibly rude and said we could go elsewhere to eat. When I asked for a solution to the problem, we ended up with a makeshift table at the lounge- two small cocktail tables pushed together that we squished into, but at least we could hear each other talk. The following morning, the manager found me at breakfast and gave me a insincere apology. I asked him to stop because it wasn't worth either of our time for him to make platitudes. It was insulting.

- A nice hotel, with a wonderful thetmal pool (indoor and outdoor) open for long hours. The hamam is especially good. The rooms are spacious, with a non-carpeted floor. The breakfast was really good.
- Great classy hotel in a spa-like setting, easy, relaxing, close to small gem cities nearby. Has the old world ambience. Plenty parking. Nice little town to walk around. Perfect for all ages and families.
- Perfect relax hotel with a huge garden and great pools. The hotel is in great condition, rooms are nice, well furnished. Bed is large and comfortable, bath okay. Breakfast also fine. Free parking is an adventage
Negative reviews
- The only point I didn't like was the lack of cofffee machine in the breakfast room. Instead, you've to ask a waiter to bring a coffee, and we had to wait for it.
- The steam room could have been more clean
- The surroundings are not that beautiful in terms of having a walk outside of the hotel. Camera surveillance all over the place inside the hotel and garden. Dinner only between 19:30-20:30 Breakfast could be fresher (fruit) and more exclusive for a 5-star hotel
- Our small and well-behaved dog was not allowed in the restaurant
- We felt harresed by the pool police-not realy the greatest of customer relations approach by the two ladies in charge of the fitness. There is a policy here about swim cap-that we did not encounter at Mioni Pezzato- which is very aggresively enforced. Relax, people, please.

- We liked very much the location and the breakfast. The hotel seems like a vintage style mansion and the surroundings are nice
- The rooms and toilet were clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great.
- Very nice and quiet location on a hill, with a view toward the valley, over vineyard. Nice terrasse, a pleasant place for dinner outside. Clean room, kind staff, and very good breakfast.
- Great value for money! Spacious clean rooms. Friendly staff. Parking on site. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. Restaurant on site. We will definitely return!
- Breakfast was very good. Better than in many other small hotels around in Italy with a good selections of salt and sweet to choose between. It was a really nice experience and I will definitely come again. The location was a bit outside the centre but on a businesstrip where you just want a clean room and compfortable bed and parking it could not have been better. It fulfilled all expectations. Thank you!
Negative reviews
- We had to pay for the dog, even if we received a kit with a toy for the dog
- The only thing we didn't like was the fact that it was a bit noisy because of the guests sitting downstairs outside our balcony. But it was a Saturday night so it's understandable.
- The plants behind the hotel need a cut, as obstructing the natural light to get in the room.
- The bathroom was a little uncomfortable. The door opens towards the inside, blocking the way to the toilet. Also, the toilet seat moved a little.
- The only thing that was unpleasantly surprising was the huge price (20 euros) for each night of a dog's stay. We have a 2 kg dog. It was the highest price we have ever paid for her (and we travel a lot). I think they could be a little more flexible.
