- Amazing setting, staff and building.
- I loved everything about the property! The location, the beautiful outside and the gorgeous inside and also wonderful hiking in the area
- Wonderful staff in the hotel. Very friendly and helpful. The location is superb. The hotel itself is a fascinating building- architecturally unique; it’s full of interesting artifacts and pictures which the very knowledgeable staff are only too happy to describe/explain. Dinner was wonderful – three courses was absolutely more than enough! Breakfast was equally good. We were only there for one night but wished we were there longer
- Beautiful throughout
- Amazing place ,kind and helpful staff…exptional stay really strongly recommend it🙏🏾
Negative reviews
- The only thing that I can say that I would have liked different is the menu. I know the menu is posh and old world, but for someone who is allergic to shellfish and would like just one course meal, I found it sad I had to go somewhere else and have my dinner.
- Difficult- but a kettle and or tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be great but we appreciate the difficulty of providing this in an historic building.
- Rooms are small, but expected for such an old hotel.
- Room rather small. No safe. Restaurant dress code not enforced. Dinner was “fine dining”, which is fine for those who like that sort of thing.
- Amenities were missing in the room (body soap bottle was empty) and the pipe bringing hot water to the shower gets extremely hot, I burned myself when I touched the battery.

- Location by the lakes, view from our room, food in the restaurant and extra amenities for kids like table tennis and games room
- Reception and restaurant staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Comfortable bed. Attractive lounge Dog friendly.
- I liked everything and that’s why it was my second time there. Very nice hotel and the place is divine! Thank you!
- Location Views Facilities Food
- Love the interiors and the food was amazing! Great breakfast with my first iPad juice and coffee (never seen it before, súper high tech). The dinner was delicious and the staff (especially the Argentinian ones) were wonderful!
Negative reviews
- Our room was very small and mattress wasn’t that comfortable
- The pool area could be more taken care of, especially in the evening. No clean towels. Also in sauna the bench is broken. Minor things but spoil a bit the ideal picture. As for the rest everything is perfect and the fireplace is magnetic.
- The cold water 💦 after a floating sauna
- Rooms are quite small and and curtains very light (not ideal in summer when sun rises at 4am). Pool and Sauna area quite old. Sauna houses come with a hourly fee.
- The view from the room was to the parking lot. Also you had to request a key to go to the swimming pool area.

- Location is very central
- Everything
- The building is on a main road making it easy to access, with the lounge having a modern/minimalist look to it, included in the price was breakfast and lunch, with cake being served for 2 hours between, the quality of the meals which are included are immaculate, our first night we had mash and pork beef steak, which was melt in your mouth tender and you could have as much as you like. it is a couple minutes walk for a shopping centre with a McDonald’s, takeaway and shopping mall with in walking distance with a nice spot to watch a sun rise within 15 minutes walk, the room was great, quality, facilities and comfort. The staff on reception was the same 2 staff for the full stay, one during day time and one during the night, both of them was great and was extremely friendly and approachable, they couldn’t do enough to help and interacted with my 3 year old
- Lovely hotel. Great rooms. Staff couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. Stayed there just one night for an early flight. Wish I'd been able to stay longer. The extensive whaling memorabilia was fascinating.
- Excellent buffet and amaz8ng gym/sauna with incredible view
Negative reviews
- We only stayed one night
- Evening meal was something I wouldn't bother with again.
- Had to wait an hour to check in despite arriving at 1530. No explanation given. Rooms dated and need upgrading.
- For me personally being sight impaired was that I found the dining areas quite dark.
- Parking under hotel, spots were very hard to park.

- Lovely place to be! An old country hotel, well equiped. Very friendly staff. A beautifull view all over the lake. The feeling of having a time travel to time long ago…. Everything was very satisfactory. We recommend this hotel!
- Really nice breakfast, very kind staff and great location.
Negative reviews
- Perhaps if the lounge had been a little warmer , we would have spent more time there , however our room was a very warm comfortable alternative.
- The rooms were old, especially the bathroom. It was very dusty and the beds were uncomfortable. The selection of food in the Restaurant was very small. There are no Restaurants nearby.
- I was missing a fridge
- Very high price for charging your electric vehicle as a standard price (not charging by kw/h)
- Bathroom was a little small, but perfectly OK for a one night stay.

- Beautiful view, cozy apartment, quite and warm
- Warm inside High in the mountain Great scenery: snow everyday Seperate area with laundry machine/dryer and ski storage and spare towels etc
- Exceptionally clean and well maintained property equipped with almost everything you’ll need.
- The apartments meet current requirements for modern and functional accommodation. The price for this accommodation, given its exceptionally desirable location in the mountains, is reasonable but also tricky, as it does not include higher prices for cleaning, bed linen, and towels. Either you pay extra or you have your own resources and time for the mandatory cleaning. The apartments meet current requirements for modern and functional accommodation. - Very good breakfast included in the price .
Negative reviews
- We had to drive to the ski center, as slope next to the house was not open
- When i booked the staff were very " off hand" and Robotic" before arrival. But once im there they were 100% responsive and resolved an issue quickly
- Strange check out rules, lack of bathroom essentials and bed linen, towels.
- The bathroom is somehow is from different hotel. All said about apartment does not apply here. Small (i mean the smallest you can find) sink, where you can not put any of your toothbrushes or soap or something. No shelves in shower and in general in bathroom. To give you an idea, to place shampoo somwhere we were closing WC to have some horizontal surface available. Bathroom makes no sense.
- Additional payments for towels, bed linen and cleaning. As it was a business stay, I needed an invoice for my company details – the staff refused to issue it.

- The view was beautiful. It is located central. Room was nice and neat.
- The dinner was really good. Not fancy but good. It was an amazing bonus in the stay.
- Big plus that the hotel offers dinner and fika. Varied and tasty breakfast. Comfortable beds. Well equipped gym. Smiley and friendly staff!
Negative reviews
- Only paid parking available.
- A little pricey for what it was, and the dinner buffet didn’t have any options or desserts, just the bare minimum, not really a buffet
- Shower head hose was damaged and no coat hangers in the bedroom wardrobe.
- If your room isn’t facing the water, then you are staring at a rock wall, so no views what so ever. When travelling with motorbikes, there are ONLY 2 free parking slots for bikes in front of the building, so you need to be lucky to get these. The slots are not dedicated to hotel guests, but available for anybody.
- Missing children areas and swimming pool

- Veldig bra
Negative reviews
- Nothing
- Small room. Definitely dated. Not really up to standard for business travelers.
- Lytt, gjester laget mye lyd på natten. Det skulle vært gardin foran vindu på badet. Hyller på badet manglet. Vasken manglet lokk/propp, ubehagelig! Heller kjølig/kaldt i rom, ville ønsket varme kabler på badet.
- Litt skuffende frokost – tomt for flere av tingene en halv time før stengetid, kun én type brød, ingen søtsaker til kaffen annet enn Gjende-kjeks. Skummelt at heisen knirket veldig. Dyrt, mistenker at prisene var skrudd opp i anledning et musikkarrangement den helga.
- Tett avløp vask!

- Practical location for travelers that wish to take the boat. Breakfast was good. The room was comfortable, with view to the sea. The personnel was very kind.
- Great location with parking and without exception all the staff were really friendly, helpful and had a great sense of humour. I would definitely return.
Negative reviews
- I hate it when I can't open windows for fresh air and cooling the room.
- Basic facilities for the price. No kettle in the room. Nespresso machine with capsules, or instant coffee. No tea or hot chocolate.. Cheese and salmon on the cold buffet were a little dry. Limited choice of salad.
- Breakfast was chaotic..long queues, no plates..burnt bread…
- The hotel parking was full. We had to park our car outside to a public parking space, with additional cost. The bathroom had a decent size but was uncomfortable. Since we had to take a boat early in the morning we didn't had enough time to enjoy our breakfast. If a lunchbox was provided instead (just for travelers) it could be very convenient.
- Very high extra fees for parking. Extra fees for coffe or tea. No wardrobe in room.
